Hi all! I'm working on a niche site, that I'll monetize selling Amazon products. I registered the domain and started creating content on july 27th, have been created pages and backlinks somehow slowly but consistently since then. Right now the situation with the different search engines is as follows: - Google: 59 pages indexed. 2 backlinks indexed -not considering internal links- (looking for inurl:mydomain.com), 1 backlink listed in webmasters central (from a forum post). - Yahoo: 1 page indexed (the homepage), 69 backlinks counted in yahoo site explorer, from articles, forum posts, article directories, and blog comments. About half of them are dofollow, and the other half nofollow links. - Bing: 1 page indexed (the homepage), 2 backlinks shown if I search +"http://mydomain.com", both from Yahoo answers. So my questions are: - Why are Yahoo and Bing not indexing all my content? I'm subscribed to their webmaster tools, I publish a feed, I send my sitemaps and ping my content... Am I doing something wrong? - Why is Google not indexing more backlinks already? I thought it was much faster than the others indexing "real time" content, specially after the Caffeine update. I can't figure it out, maybe it's just a matter of time until everything comes in place, but it doesn't make much sense to me. |

Bing and yahoo will index your pages after 3 or more month. Because they are not as fast as google.

Google will only index backlinks when it visits the page that is linking back to you. This takes time when you consider factors like how frequently each page gets re-crawled. Give it a couple of months and you'll see your backlinking efforts start to show up more.

Things take time, that is one of the downsides of SEO. Like someone else said Google indexes the link when it visits the page with the link (if it does at all). You can always build backlinks to your backlink pages to make sure that they are indexed

Two Things You Can Do; 1. Take Your Backlinks make it into feed: html2rss.com take that feed submit, to feedagg.com and many other feedsite. 2. Submit each links to ping.fm (you have to create all those accounts, outsorce those) 3. social bookmark all your backlinks... you go with backlink with highest PR 1st... ex: if you backlink has PR4, PR3, ...PR1.. you bookmark PR4 links 1st to check PR, just get the SEOBook free plugin for firefox... 4. Use UAW service (see my signature), you don't have to manually build links.... Not weird, just how SEO works... Good Luck! Han | |

There are a number of things you could do. I see no wrong in the reason above. It takes time, build them and they will come.
