RSS Feed Submission - Need General Tips - RSSbot

Okay, I swear I started doing a search and have about 15 tabs open to read, but I'm about to leave and it'd be awesome to return to the answers I need as opposed to having to read about it and spend more time.

I bought RSSbot to submit my feed to a ton of feed directories for backlinks and syndication purposes. Now I'm confused since I'm just so inexperienced with feeds.

First off I have Feedburner installed in wordpress, so my feed from www.example.com/feed/ gets redirected to http://feed.feedburner.com/example . Is that a 301 redirect or what? Because the entire point was to get backlinks to MY site. So is that going to redirect all my link juice to feedburner? Or is there something I'm misunderstanding here?

I'm sure I'll have more questions, but an answer to this one would be an enormous time saver for me.

There are links within your feed (feedburner, default feed - it doesn't matter), and that's how you'll get your "link juice".
