Keep in mind that while we see, talk about, and read about PPC in terms of Internet Marketing, the amount of advertising outside of IM dwarfs that.

Google takes in appx. $6 BILLION per QUARTER, the majority of it from Adwords. That's a lot of advertising!

Yeah I posted this very early this morning:
Biggest spenders on Adwords

I think google was only a small drop in the bucket for BP. They had ads all over
the place.

The stats tend to skew towards online buyers, amazon, ebay, ...

The fact that ATT mobile spent that much means that the internet is hot
for mobile products.

And that $6 billion figure is closer to $7 billion. Google is flying high.

And that's only the top 100!

Could you imagine the total daily dollar amount of the top 1,000 SEM spenders on the net?

It just goes to show how much money is floating around the net.
