Amazon - The Product Advertising API Will No Longer Return Customer Reviews Content

I got this email from Amazon:

Dear Product Advertising API Developer,
On November 8, 2010 the Reviews response group of the Product Advertising API will no longer return customer reviews content and instead will return a link to customer reviews content hosted on Amazon.com. You will be able to display customer reviews on your site using that link. Please refer to the Product Advertising API Developer guide found here for more details. The Reviews response group will continue to function as before until November 8 and the new link to customer reviews is available to you now through the Product Advertising API as well.

Thank you for advertising products for sale on Amazon.com.

Does that mean that we can no longer pull reviews from Amazon with Wordpress plugins such as ReviewAzon, WP Zon Builder, PHPzon etc. ?

No it only means that the developers have to update their scripts. Unless Amazon doesn't forbid taking their reviews it shouldn't be a big problem to spider the review link ( and if amazon forbids it, it's still no problem, at least to write the script )

There is a script for this available. You can find it on e-junkie.com with a search for "Amazon API Customer Review/Rating Solution".

It costs money but it saved me a heck of a lot of time from writing the script myself. It simply returns all of the information from the new customer "iFrame" in variables that you can then use.

You said it helped you tremendously on your amazon reviews. Please answer the ff. questions based on your experience:

I use xsitepro (html) webpages with wordpress blog on it. Is it a software or a script that we can use on web pages created through xsitepro (html pages)? Is it also a wordpress plug in that I can use on wordpress posts?
Does it have a 30 day or 60 day guarantee to try it out?
Does it have a video on how to use it? The reason I ask because I am not a techie person and I need videos to instuct me on how to do it.
