Default Tried to test for search volume on adwords and got slapped. What to do?

I was just testing for which keywords have a search volume that matches that of the google keyword tool which is unreliable, and google slapped all my campaigns after a few hours. I created a campaign for each keyword and only was only bidding for exact match keywords. Now most of the ads I wrote were very irrelevent but that was because I didn't want them to be clicked on so maybe that's why the campaign were slapped. What should I do to continue testing for search volume on adwords without getting slapped?

Make your adds relevent to the keywords, yet not compelling enough for anyone to click on.

There's no way that was a good idea.

Using one's adwords account for non-click testing just does not seem wise.

Everything is about clicks and relevancy.

It may seem like I'm talking both sides, I think your approach was
"novel," but it should be done using ads that GET clicks!

"Novel" because I can't say adwords should be used for anything
except getting clicks. But on the other hand, testing is testing.
I just think you were testing a negative when you should have
tested a positive.

Anything you do to not get clicks is going against adwords from
top to bottom. You were bound to get slapped.

The slap has nothing to do with keyword research. Take a look at your site and LP. That's where the problem is. Anwya if all your campaigns are slapped, don't repeat the same mistakes that caused it. You lose a lot of money that way. Cheers

You should use relevant ads and you should accept the fact that testing will cost you a little money.

Once you understand that this will cost you money, you should be fine. Think of it as an investment as it can save a lot of time that you might waste chasing a keyword that Google made you think gets thousands of searches but in reality, only gets a few dozens...

I actually woke up today and found that most of my ads were back. I played with the campaigns a bit to make the ads more relevent overall and i'm averaging #1 position for most of my KWs so my ad is hopefully showing all the time and I'm surprised how unreliable google's KW research data is.

? that has to be the strangest thing i have read in a long time, to get a good q score and have the ad show everything must be relevant and working, I am not even sure if it is possible to / (a) write a poor ad and (b) have it show well enough to serve the purpose of counting accurate impressions without getting a click. / is that even possible ?
