Hi everyone,
I've recently left a large British SEO and PPC firm, and want to get my name out there a little on this forum.

I'd like to think I have knowledge to give to you all, and I know those of you who are new to the game have plently of questions - I still do even now!

So.. I'm offering my time to answer any questions any of you post in this thread! Fire away.

Hi Aaron,

What's the best keyword tool/software overall?

What's the best reasonably priced (non-subscription) keyword/software tool?

Is it worth using a free keyword tool other Google's?

Thanks in advance

Secrets to keyword research.. I think I have the basics (& use Market Samurai) but I am sure I could use tips to speed up my research.

Thanks!

Also - your opinion - backlinks, does PR matter or number of backlinks more..
That's always a hot topic around here.

Can you help me do SEO on my website for an affordable price? I'm new to IMing so low budget here. Just an up. My skype is nelsencaleb@skype.com. Neither of us can PM because of our low post count. I'll try to check back on this forum by subscribing.

My question is how to accurately analyze the competition in the top 10 for keywords?

I use Traffic Travis (great tool) to see the stats for the top 10 and it tells me whether it's easy, medium difficulty, difficult, very difficult, and extremely difficult but sometimes I wonder whether the difficulty level is accurate (the other info. is accurate though so that's good).

So how can you tell by looking at the top 10? I know a lot backlinks to the page and entire domain is given a lot of emphasis; the age of the domain/page; PR to a certain degree; and having the keyword in the title, H1, description, and in the domain itself---but what else?

Is it really just a matter of trying to determine how many backlinks and what quality the backlinks need to be in order to get in the top 10 and "getting" to that number of backlinks to see if our "guess" was right or is there more of a science to it?

And then once we're in the top 10, how do we stay there without having to dedicate just as much if not more time backlinking?
