If you register a new domain, how many backlinks should you create that will be save so that google will not sandbox your site? For example are 20-30 backlinks within 2 weeks ok?

Dpends on where links are coming from. I typically build 50+ links a day on a new site and can have it ranked within a few weeks. I have built a hub page before and did a link drop of 3,000 links before and it ranked first page after 3 weeks and is still ranked 6 months later with no additional effort. Just make sure that the pages linking to your site all have different content on them and no obvious footprint between them all. Low quality profile links wont do much. Getting links from blogs with similar content will help a lot more. It is so easy to test this kind of stuff. Just make a few plans with varying link velocity and run them either on different keywords or same keyword and different hosting packages and see what works. You can listen to people talk about 'sandbox this' and 'sandbox that' but its pointless as everyone always disagrees. Just go and give it a try. |

| You're going to see a lot of opinions on what backlink rates will and will not cause a site to be sandboxed. No one knows a magic number. However, I can tell you with complete confidence that 20-30 backlinks in a 2 week period is fine. And 20-30 backlinks daily would be fine. Just avoid doing anything super stupid like, I don't know, getting an xrumer profile link blast with 1 million profiles and start boosting those links to get them all indexed in a short period of time. Maybe even more important than the number of backlinks is how you build them. Try to build the links consistently and sustain your efforts. Then increase your efforts gradually. |

What percentage of backlinks do you recommend for each type of backlink? Articles versus social bookmarks versus profile links, etc.

The simple answer is build as many links as you need to rank where you want to rank. Don't put any sort of artificial speed limiter on the process.

Build as many backlinks as you want to (just that don't go overboard and build 10000+ in the first two weeks) - it is not going to hurt you. The backlink velocity matters, and to see higher climb of your page early you need to accelerate (increase the rate) at some point of time. If you do not accelerate then too its fine but it may require a little additional time, that's all.

1. Invest $1. Cut you backlinking by 50%+. Click here. Seduce Google. 2. Find tons of high-commission easy in less than a minute here. 3. War Room release on off-page SEO: Gege Robohop -"Incredible", say Warriors 4. Mindset matters. Look at my last year - nothing to do with IM.

Hi, I have a question that is somewhat similar. How many comment backlinks from different URL of a particular Domain are safe to have? |

I created a domain for a poker rakeback site. To promote I wrote an article about rakeback, spun it thousands of times, and published it to thousands of article directory sites. Some of them had a high PR. This was a few months ago and still not 1 single link has been recognised by any of the major search engines. Do you think if I did a 301 direct to my main site google would recognise these links because my main site is over a year old?

I'm not sure it really matters how many backlinks you get shortly after you put up a site, as long as you have quality content. Otherwise, all your competition would have to do to get you shut down is to send a bunch of links to your site. I've had most of my sites be subject somewhat to the Google dance, but none of them have disappeared regardless of the number of backlinks they got. |

Build up a pace, start with 10-20 backlinks per day, then just stick with that for a week, then build 15-25 backclinks per day, then next week move up another 5/10 whatever suites you, stable backlink increases are the best way to avoid being sandboxed. And of course...QUALITY first before Quantity |

| My site that has thousands of backlinks pointing to it from thousands of spun articles was a site I had created for me for free. I did not change content on it to make it unique. I know google can slash a sites page rank for that. Do they simply do that by not counting backlinks pointing to it? My new site is full of unique content so maybe the links will show after a 301 redirect. What do you guys think?

About 1,5k-2k are pretty enough for a website, then for a better SERP on your keywords, you may continue adding backlinks but doing it EVERY WEEK! Don't delay a week or this could blacklist your website.

At the end of the day if Google is going to 'sandbox' your site, they'll do it irrespective of link velocity. I have two websites that are currently in 500-600 range in Google and have been for well over a month, at some point they'll come back - but generally speaking if Google is going to bitch slap you, it's going to bitch slap you.
