Retrieve AdWords Account Information???

I'm taking over responsibility for managing a customer's AdWords account. The account was previously managed by someone who is unwilling to provide the ID and password to that account to the person that was paying her to manage it. I know the Email address that was on the account, but not the password. When I tried to do the "lost password" thing, we never got an email back with the password.

In numerous attempts to get AdWords support to work with me to get this information, I only get automated responses with no real help. The forms that I'd have to fill out require the credit card number, date/dollar amount of last transaction, and many other data points that my customer doesn't have a clue on.

Anyone got a better way to get a real person at Google to help me out?
