There are like 10 long tail ones and like 20 short ones

I would have to say that my very favorite tool ever made would be scrapebox for sure

It really can do pretty much anything u want if u know how to use it of course

recently i bought 1 PR3 domain and one PR4 domain using scrapebox(domains are niche targeted)
Scrapebox is a life saver and it is the best investment i ever made online

"I got my yahoo answers guy working to do 50 answers today.

I got a few SEO people to make a 25 spoke linkwheel and another guy who posts only high quality pr5+ do follow backlinks with some .edu and .gov backlinks in there as well.

Xrumer guy is starting to post today, took a while to scrape a relevant list."

What is a reasonable budget to promote a project like yours using outside resources?

Thanks again for sharing.

Like I said earlier I have roughly $350 into the site right now plus around 30 hours of personal work.

It is very hard to find good outsourcing that you can trust. It has taken me a few years to find good people at good prices.

In the past few days I have added 2 more pages of content.

The site now has 11 indexed urls.

Webmaster tools is showing 57 links. Most are from higher PR article directories.

My linkwheel was completed today it has 193 properties all on different IP's and classes.

I have submitted 5 original spun articles to 900 directories including ezine, goarticles and articlesbase.

I got someone working on high PR backlinks, and another person doing video promo.

My yahoo answers are almost done but havent seen much traffic from them yet.

Still not in the top 1000 for any of my targetted keywords yet but the site is only like 2 weeks old anyway.

If anyone has any advice go ahead and post it.

# of competing pages has nothing to do with competition

u are only competing with the 10 sites on page 1

Newbie question here. I've written several high-quality original articles for my page and submitted them individually to sites like ezine, buzzle, goarticles. Can I now take those articles and use a spinner or auto-submitter to get them on many more sites? I would appreciate some detail on how to do that - I'm still new at this.

Hey there,

Great work on keeping us updating with your work. I really enjoy reading your posts. I just have a quick question. Right now I'm trying to also get my blog ranked by writing articles. I see how you submit just 1 spinned article to 100's of sites. Unfortunately right now I'm doing it all manually. Is there a software that you could suggest that I would be able to use with good results as well? I need both the spinner and submitter.

Thank you so much for your content.
Vik.

I am wondering what you mean by 193 properties, is there a number of linkwheels and the total number of properties involved add upto 193? And do the linkwheels connect to the 'money site'?

So when is the next report comes out? Are you going to post week to week or day to day?

Seems that this is turning into more of a question / answer thread vs any actual reporting of your efforts towards the site.

Sorry to be blunt but I get ill when ever someone posts they are going to show you their method but only actually post one activity a month and flood the rest with questions/answers leaving you to sift through all the junk to get to the actual info.

Have you ever thought about doing a seperate blog on blogger or something where everyone can go read just the actual activity being made as it happens without all the commenting?

I dont have time for all that but I have been updating with my progress often.

There is not much news, like I said tons of times this will be a long process and need patience.

I have had a linkwheel made with 193 properties.

I have distributed 5 articles to 900 directories.

I have had 50k posts done with xrumer.

I have had 50 yahoo answers done.

I have a video person working now.

I am not currently ranking for any of my targetted keywords yet.

How can people say this over and over???

Try outranking the top 20 sites for the term "insurance". I dare you...according to the logic below #11-#20 in the SERPs should be pushovers.

It would be more accurate to say that the number of competing sites is not useful but rather the strength of each individual site and how deep that strength goes into the SERPs is most important.

Sounds impressive, like the tactics, and I am sure you will hit the $100 a day mark easily, will watch in anticipation, but honestly as long as you have the keyword in the site, and are not submitting too many articles in a short period, 3-6 months is plenty of time to see some good dividends

I sure hope so.

I am now ranking for 2 out of 7 keywords I am targetting at the moment. I have only actively backlinked these 7 so far. Now 2 are ranking. The site has 19 indexed pages.

One of the keywords is ranking # 89

The other is #143

I have been working on another one of my sites this week so I am kind of letting this one settle for a bit and see what I want to do next as far as linking.

I will be adding 2 articles this week of course.

Yes I have added content and got a few videos being worked on.

I am ranking #90 for 1 keyword #110 for another and #118 for another.

So I will keep adding content and building links.

I have been working on my adsense sites this week and also on a site for an offline company lately and it has been taking up most of my time.

No big deal though, like I said many times Im expecting around 3-6 months before I make any money from this site.

So while I have had many backlinks packages done I am now ranking for every of my 7 keywords I have been targeting.

One of them ranks #67 in google the others are in the 100-150 range.

I am now creating content based on wonderwheel suggestions and adding seo friendly images.

Its been about a month.

The site has made no money yet and I have about $375 into it.

I think I'm right about on schedule of where I should be in this competitive market.

Not too much

I outsourced some article writing and am adding 1 per day.

Main keywords all rank between 60-188

Im working on many other projects, but I still add to the site pretty much every day.

In a few weeks I think I will strat backlinking again.

Hey I have pretty much stopped this project. I made like 2 sales and then sold this site on Flippa. I should have posted that but I forgot. I sold the site for $435 so I made my money back on the site.

I think the keywords were very competitive and I got sick of throwing money at this site. Especially when I am making great money with adsense sites and other CPA freebie sites.

So that is the direction Im taking and focusing all my effort on it. I have been making around $30-$50 per day in adsense and another $25 avg per day with CPA stuff. I have worked for 2 years to get to this point. I really want to build my adsense and CPA to a $200 per day business and it is taking up all my time.

Interesting thread. Full of promise and then sputtered out. I think this is a good analogy of how a great deal of internet marketing works. We start out going full-bore and then get pulled into other stuff (to be fair the OP didn't lose any money in the long run, but did lose a lot of time). For every success story there are way more stories of sites that just didn't make it. It would be interesting to survey the number of sites each of us has built and qualify how many of them were successful. I wonder what the average would be?

sorry to ask a question on a topic thats finished but, how much traffic were you getting day to day on this site toward the end of the project??

Also, when running your Xrumer campaigns, did you spin your link text or keep it focused on a single term?

Good thread btw.

My genuine opinion of this very well planned thread..This could have been probably one of the best threads i have ever read on this forum(Newbie Related).I read A Ton of them in the last year..

There are 2 things you should have and could have done to absolutely surpass any newbie based thread in this forum..First of all you should have just targeted a low competition niche...Second of all..You should have finished the thread....

If you had followed up on a low competition niche as you said you did within THIS thread..I think you would have easily made it to 50+ or 100+ a day...

The reason so many IM newbies do fail is because of the Time ,Effort and money involved...As we all seen here this is a perfect example..I know that STOAF88 spent some serious time and effort and money on this non return project...

And this is why I thought these kinds of thread were not allowed on the forum?! Because anyone can come along and start one, but few finish them - and they provide little or no value in the meantime. I have noticed those kinds of thread DO get deleted usually, so I am not sure how this one slipped through the net.
