Default Watch My Progress In a Competitive niche

Ok so I have been doing SEO for a few years on and off. I have had many page 1 google listings for small competition and 1 website was in a medium competition niche. I actually sold that site for $1500 after owning it for a year where it made about $1500 for that year. It was a reverse phone lookup site. I used the clickbank product for reverse phone lookups for my afflilate.

Anyway since I'm sick of making lots of small traffic sites, I am going bigger. The niche I'm going into has around 4000 searches per DAY, for the main keyword and lots of searches for the other keywords. The competition is pretty stiff but not totally crazy. Mostly pr3 type sites with around 300 backlinks, some dont even have the keywords in the title.

My Plan:

1. I have a list of 30 keywords, I am in the process of making a 300-500 word article for each keyword.

2. I am using wordpress, already got a domain registered with the keywords in it. I am in the process of building the site.

3. I will start with 3 articles/pages of content, plus my privacy policy, contact, about, and sitemap pages.

4. I will add 1 article per week.

5. I will backlink using related forums with the site in sig

6. I will backlink using scrapebox

7. I will backlink using xrumer

8. I will submit RSS feeds everywhere using rss bot.

9. Every week I will submit articles from the site. I will spin the articles and submit them using article marketing robot to submit to 800 article sites. These are some of the best backlinks.

I am not selling anything or trying to build hype, just figured this thread might keep me more focused for this project.

I will not be giving out the niche so don't ask. Any advice or help along the way would be great and I will answer any questions anyone has.

I will update this thread every time I do something, or anything big happens. Like first sale, first front page google listing for my keyword etc...

I think that if I keep up with it I should be able to make around $100 per day with this site pretty easily. I'm not sure how long it will take but I'm thinking around 3-6 months. Here we go!

Good luck and keep us posted on your progress. Will be interesting to see where you're at with this project in 3 months, and who knows...you might get to the 1st page in 1 month.

And with the keyword getting that many searches even if you're at the bottom of page 1 you'll still be getting quite a bit of visitors, especially since you will also be targeting other keywords as well.

Again good luck with your project.

Wish you all the best. The plan is sound. I hope this will give you good results.

BTW, what are you selling in this site? I'm not asking you to reveal the Niche or a specific product. But are you again using some kind of affiliate product or selling your own?

Good luck, I am sure with the experience you have it will be a walk in the park. Just one question though, can you advise on buying an article marketing robot?

Thanks.

I am definitely following this, as per my (lonely ) post the other day I love this stuff! Perhaps you'd be so kind to look at it.

I can totally imagine myself doing this, so by closely reviewing what you do I can learn so much. Thanks for sharing.

Article Marketing Robot is a software for submitting and spinning articles. It is on clickbank so buy it with you own affiliate link. I am not the owner or anything, it is just the best one in my opinion.

I read your post. I am looking at this not as an experiment, nor trying to sell anything ( I know you're not saying that I'm doing that). I hate those hype filled posts and never read them anymore.

Anyway I don't see this as an experiment because I know it will work. In 6 months with consistant effort on this site I am almost positive it will make $100 per day and have like 4 or 5 front page listings.

Just watch what I do and do it too and the same will happen for you.

Ok so my graphics will be done on monday so I'll add them to the site then.

I am done with 7 articles, I took my time and wrote killer 500 word SEO articles. I used 1% keyword density, while using the keywords in the first sentence and the last sentence.

I will do more articles today, then tomorrow add all the graphics and start submitting RSS feeds and submit 1 article to ezine and then auto submit to the other directories as well.

I have 2 articles on the site right now I'll prolly add 2 more before the end of the week.

Ok so today I got all the graphics on the site plus affiliate links and stuff and it looks real nice.

I bookmarked the site using onlywire ( just the homepage for now I will do inner pages 1 per day)

I submitted to 600 directories using directory bot

I submitted rss feed using rss bot

I used scrapebox rapid indexer for the home page

I added 1 article to the site (there are now 3 posts total)

Submitted sitemap to webmaster tools

I submitted an original article to ezine and goarticles and then ran it through my submitter to 300 pr1+ article directories.

I had it link to the home page.

Today I will create more content.

I'm not ready to start aggressively linking yet its still too early

Nice post. Definitely following this one since I'm trying to do almost the same thing. What kind of RSS bot do you use? I just posted a couple of articles to my new blog and want to make them as RSS but I still cannot understand how can I do that? Any advice from your side?

Thank you and best of luck. Keep up the updates!

If you want to know the rss feed for your articles just go to the article site and click on your author account name. It will say articles by joe smith or whatever. That is your rss feed and you should submit this to all the rss directories and aggregators. You csn do this manually or use what I use which is Rss bot by incansoft. You obviously do this with your main website as well which if you are using wordpress is always http://mysite.com/feed.

In the past 5 days I have added 5 articles to the site.

I have blasted around 200 approved links to blogs using scrapebox. SOme Pr7 do follow links were in there.

I submitted 3 heavily spun original aricles written by me to ezine articles and go articles and then used article marketing robot to submit the articles to 800 more directories. Showing about 400 live links for the 3 articles total. SOme links are pr 7 directories. Lots of pr3 and 4 as well.

I put in an order fo 50,000 forum posts to my xrumer guy. These are relevant forums and my link will be in the sig. Should get around 1k actual really good links here.

This week I will add more content, submit more articles and do another day of blog scraping and commenting.

Your plan sounds amazing. I'm wondering how long it takes to do each step? As in, how much time do you spend per day on this one website?

I have been spending about an average of 2 hours per day on this site. The time will go down as I outsource more and get more content done. I am writing all my own content right now because I can't find writers that I believe write as well as I do. It is really hard to find good writers at any price.

Waiting to the update of this test case of using some tools include xrumer. Some said that it is not good tool but I agree with you 'stoaf88' that the tool will depend on the operator behind it.

Hi Stoaf88, thanks for doing this.
Why are you not concerned that the sudden appearance of these sudden link-backs ("...200 approved links to blogs using scrapebox," "...400 live links for the 3 articles," "...50,000 forum posts,") will raise flags with Google?
AND
The three articles that you posted to article sites, are they the same article, word for word?
Again, thanks for doing this.

What a lot of people don't realize in this forum is that just because you create 1000 backlinks in a day that does not mean that google will find them all in 1 day. They take time to find so it looks natural anyway.

In my experience it makes no difference how quickly you build backlinks. I have many websites ranking in the top 5 that I have created backlinks for VERY quickly.

The articles posted to article sites are heavily spun. They read very well though as I am very good at spinning. Ezine accepts them all the time.

In the past few days I have added 2 unique article to the site. It now has 9 pages of unique quality content.

I have submitted 2 articles (spun) to 900 directories each.

I got my yahoo answers guy working to do 50 answers today.

I got a few SEO people to make a 25 spoke linkwheel and another guy who posts only high quality pr5+ do follow backlinks with some .edu and .gov backlinks in there as well.

Xrumer guy is starting to post today, took a while to scrape a relevant list.

Site is still not ranking for any keywords which is wierd. Also I have 14 urls in my sitemap but only 1 is indexed according to webmaster tools. When i manually search though I can see most pages are indexed. No rankings yet though. Its going to take some time.

1 article per week?

That's scandalous if you expect to make proper money.

Let's show you:

best kindle covers - Google Search

cool kindle cover - Google Search

buy kopparberg online - Google Search

Now what's the thing in common with all the top results for those keywords?

The sites that rank all have lots of content.

Over n out.

I actually know how to use xrumer but my guy is the best. I have found that every site I had him blast for went from page 2 to page 1 and then from like #8 to #1-3. Most of my sites rank between 1-3 for their main keywords. Granted this is against weaker competition. Some of those sites get 40 uniques per day though.

The site is only 10 days old.

I dont have an EMD, but it is an EMD with 1 more word added.

So it ranks #8 for the EMD, but thats not what I am trying to rank for.

I am trying to rank for a few keywords related to the EMD.

The site is only 10 days old so no rankings for my targetted keywords yet.

This thread is not about xrumer though

That is just 1 of many different backlinking methods being used

You should always use every form of backlinking possible on your websites

From MS and the new google keyword tool and yes the numbers match up

these are exact searches

Like I said many times the niche is competitive

I have many low competition sites that rank #1-5 in google for thier targetted keywords

The only thing is usually low competition means low traffic as well

This is why I am going with very high search which also means tougher competition

i guess you have all the tools,to do the work perfectly!!
having Scrapebox and Xrumer for link building is like having a tank and an apache!!
things can go in the wrong way with a new domain and all that links quantity being built in a very short time!!!
but i guess that deserve a try!!
are you targeting heavy keywords or long tail ones?
