Yes it still works.

As to your problem of saving the file. There are a few ways to do this.

Option 1 you can use any ftp software like filezilla and upload to your server if you have all your log in info and server information.

Option 2 simply go into your host panel they should have an ftp service built in so that limits the size of the files you can upload. I personally use this option most of the time. Since at times my images get garbled going through something like filezilla. It is pretty easy though.

I had read somewhere about creating puzzle programs as a form of exe distributable software.

On one website I have 5 product reviews, and using a picture of the product, I created a puzzle program for each. I was planning on distributing these programs by linking to each product page separately, plus an additional puzzle showing all 5 products, and linked to the home page.

The purpose of the exercise is for backlinks, not that anyone would really run the software. If someone actually ran the programs, there is also a url to my product page in the banner.

Does this make sense as far as SEO? Good idea? Bad idea? Does a software product linked to each page ok , or cause more harm (spam??, duplicate?) than good? Or is just 1 software link to the home page sufficient?

I would really appreciate your comments on this.

What if a person took an MRR software program and submitted it to the directories? Does that basically work the same way as submitting an article turned into an exe file?
