Hostgator attracta SEO

There is now a SEO part in my cpanel with hostgator.
Something to do with Attracta made XML site maps?

Anyone using this? What's the go?
Are they gonna slap me with a membership fee or charge me some how?

I have just been using the site map that is made in xsitepro2...

Companies like Attracta.com and its SEO or Web submission services are a waste of time and a waste of money. It is a sham infact it is better yet a scam. There is nothing that attracta.com can really do to improve your website traffic that you cant do for yourself. The truth is that Attracta’s submission engine is a useless automated xml submission script which search engines like Google, will actually reject or even penalize your website if you use attracta.com The reason being, that attracta is not capale of reading and spidering properly of certain websites that have java associated action components or websites that generate harsh code sessions. As such certain links in your site are never crawled by Attracta. However attracta pings search engines such as Google to inform them of new links or new submissions on your site, yet there is numerically none. Google then after spidering your website and data does not match xml submission, will penalize your website. The best method of achieving best Results for website ranking is to use the particular “webmaster tools” to do to your self a very fine job of ranking your website highly on search engines. You can see first hand from Google or even Yahoo how its search engine, views your website. Attracta and such companies simply spend minimal money on their services and additional money on advertising to gain money by selling people a myth about SEO and PAGE Ranking. Attracta has partnered with major hosting companies like Canadian web hosting, green hosts etc. Such that if you are a customer of these web hosting companies and you make a mistake of clicking SEO icons or website submission icons in your hosting CPANEL, you practically have signed up for Attracta web services. And if you read the clauses of their terms of service closely, its appears as if it is free (max of 50 page spidering) at first for a limited period. But then they will start to bill you automatically at the time of your hosting renewal. The truth is that most companies that offer SEO and Page Rank submission are scamers. The truth is that most search engines reject automated sitemap submissions. Think of it, how many companies on the net claim to offer SEO and Page ranking services. But what most people do not know, is that, even if they do not submit there websites to Google, Yahoo, even russian yandex or chinese badui, these search engines will find your website automatically by themselves. Contrary to previous perceptions, search engines like Google, Yandex, Badui are so aggresive, they are all competing for control of internet data, such that you do not even have to use companies like attracta, these search engines will find your website by themeselves. The search engines use the new domain registration index from IANA etc. Better Yet if you use Google webmaster services or yahoo webmaster services, and follow their suggestions, you will really find your self high on the ranking. Off course, your website has to have content. And by the way, most websites today that use modern scripts or modern CMS already come out as Search engine friendly with friendly URL’s. There fore beware of all these False SEO and website submission scams perpetuated by hoax expert such as Ryan Dorhn of Brain swell media etc. These are the guys who create empty trends in web media and benefit from it. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON COMPANIES LIKE ATTRACTA ETC they are bubble companies that sell you empty shells. The truth is that even if you pay so much money for attracta premium service, and your website has no content or no keywords that are in demand, The search engines will not place you highly any where. At the end of the day, it is content, keywords, choice topics, correct formats for meta data etc. Not paying money to attracta or companies of its kind.

Unfortunately I didn't know this then (or even this Warrior forum)

So, If you did pay them, prior the reading this, as I didn't know, and my Clients web site went to the first page on Google. So I figured it had some value. About 2 weeks ago, I have taken attracta off and a few other changes (removing all the attratca badges and etc.), my client site has fallen off of Google's 1st page.

Ideas?

I think in seo you need to do changes one at a time. Those "other" things you did may have caused this drop. But now you can't give a 100% answer what did it......

First of all it seems there is some confusion surrounding XML sitemap usage so I'd like to clear that up. Using an XML sitemap can only help and can in no way hurt your SEO efforts. But I don't expect you to take my word for it. Google's message on this matter is clear:

"In most cases, webmasters will benefit from Sitemap submission, and in no case will you be penalized for it."

You can find this text on Google webmaster central.

So no, you aren't being hurt or penalized in any way by using our service. Even if you already have a sitemap in place. In fact, if you look at Google's own robots.txt file.
You can clearly see they are using multiple sitemaps themselves.

If you really want to know more about XML sitemaps additional information is available from Google's webmaster central at the previous link. Additionally, you can read the XML Sitemap protocol documentation available at Sitemap.org

It is correct that none of our services represent anything you can't do yourself, for your own website. However, I believe our SEO Tools make many SEO tasks simpler and more straight forward to address. Additionally, our Automated Sitemap service(Get in Google) is amazingly effective at getting a new website noticed by search engines faster and helping an existing website get better exposure through increased page indexation.

It is also correct that organic search rankings and any traffic generated from this are entirely dependent upon your website's content and structure.

I don't know what FromFiction's problem is... but he didn't check his facts before he start flaming.

The Attracta service has over 300,000 users and lots of good reviews. Their Sitemap submission tools work just fine. Sure, you can use other tools - I've tried lots of other SEO services and tools - but for the money you can't beat their service. I've been using it on all of my sites for over 6 months now, and it definitely works. Saved a lot of time and effort, and increased my page ranking AND MY TRAFFIC. I'm not saying it will happen overnight, but if you use all of their tools correctly, you'll see results. Plus, its a lot easier and more reliable than trying to do it all yourself.
