Default Deep links from WordPress blogs & 301 redirect

Hello,

I would like to create some backlinks from various WordPress blogs (dofollow, comment luv, top commentator) to "deep" pages (not the home page) on my website.

Now, WordPress blogs normally only allow links to the main domain or to a subdomain and I would like to know if the following makes sense:

* I would like to create a backlink to a page further down the site hierarchy - for example: http://www.domain.com/folder/pagename.html

* I create a subdomain on my webserver - for example: subdomain.domain.com

* In my .htaccess file, I create a 301 redirect from the subdomain to the page further down the site hierarchy.

* In my blog posts I use the subdomain in the URL field.
The question is, does this actually make sense - will the search engines attribute the newly created links properly to the "deep" page on my main domain?

Thanks for your help.

Rober
