Hi Warriors, Alex Goad recently launched a software package called Rank Builder. I've been listening to different perspectives when it comes to building links back to sites. If anyone has a comment about this or an opinion as to why it would be advantageous and also why doing something like this might not be a good idea I would appreciate your perspectives. I realize this may be an unfair question, in the sense that this particular software suite is new on the market - but conceptually - is doing something like this a good idea, as far as long term sustainability for sites you care about? Much appreciated, Elise |

Link building is the heart and soul of SEO and doing it manually is simply too big of a task, especially if you are going for against strong competition. The use of such tools and softwares is pretty common and can make your link building go much faster and better. I don't know about Rank Builder in particular as I am simply giving my general opinion. I can recommend you check out the following site: Link Building Services - SEO Link building You can find honest reviews about most of the link building tools available and get a clear picture about what is working for them and what is not. |

Thanks for asking that question. There's some good stuff on the recommended site about RankBuilder and other tools. I cancelled my subscription and asked for a refund. Apparently RankBuilder's support desk is laughable. The comments are funny anyway. |

Using automated programs helps a lot, but even tools like senuke and rankbuilder are limited..They are good for quick ranking and indexing on medium competition terms, but if you want to go for the big terms, then you will need some higher quality links than what these types of setups give you. Look into some high pr blog networks and PR's. Cheers |

It's hard to tell if Rankbuilder is any good, since the software rarely works and "customer service" is REALLY a joke. I'll stick it out for another month, but right-now it's more of a TIME WASTER. CHEERS |

Well, my opinion of rank builder is completely different than el douche bag..the profile builder is a great tool. Works flawlessly with my scraped sites and I get at least 380 new profiles WITH visible backlinks on each mini run. Now, the trick is getting those links indexed |

Glad to hear it. Unfortunately, the customer service at rankbuilder deletes support tickets without addressing them. I had 2 different tickets, for 2 different problems completely ignored by the "geniuses" over at renkbuilder "support." As far as I can tell they are absolutely NO HELP. Lets see what happens when they try & charge me this month for something that doesn't work... |

Now that sucks. What sort of issue are you finding with the software? Is it OS related?

| Then you would be incorrect if you think that. Far to many people for a long time have employed automated tools. The trick is the ability to understand how to use them instead of "setting and forgetting" 100% of the time

I had Rank Builder for the 1 week trial and cancelled. It needed a bit more work IMO before it was market ready. I know they released an update a couple weeks ago, but I haven't re-ordered.

Honestly as an new SEO, I Still go for the manual link building process of SEO instead of automatic rank builders for me its a short term method and i recommend that we SEO work as an professional a genuine idea.

In general, I am sick & tired of crap products. As for automated linkbuilding, and on a more positive note, I've used everything mentioned in this thread and others... (all of this IMHO and IME) SERPassist did a great job on an established site that already had other backlinks, but I would be very cautious about using it on a new site (or an unestablished older site) with no links. It is otherwise an excellent choice. XrumerSEO is also very good, but is basically a one-off process; you pay the fee and they give you a bunch of links. If you're doing a launch or building leads, etc., it's a good thing. SENuke is the best automated program / monthly membership out there, but IMHO, you would still be wise to augment with other linkbuilding strategies. Diversity is key with linkbuilding. Unique Article Wizard used to be better; lot of silt has crept into their network, IMHO. Tons o' junk in SEOlinkvine; be prepared to pull the weeds daily. AMA pretty decent but the cURL glitches frequently (on three different webhosts & server configurations, including a cloud) -- kinda like your shiny Jaguar that spends its days as a lawn ornament for your mechanic... I also used PortalFeeder when it was cheap and I liked it then. Can't speak to it now... Web2Mayhem not bad, but the Nuke is better (again, IMHO). There are several others but those are the ones that leaped from memory. Outsourcing the manual linkbuilding works well, but don't take any outsourcer's word for it that they know how to build links. One worker I hired who had GREAT reviews on a freelance site started creating blog comments with 7-8 links in each comment (in other words, *spam* that got deleted as fast as she put them up). Turns out this is the way she had been doing it for two years; my point is, most of the people giving reviews of their freelancers don't even understand what they're doing, so their 5-star rating is probably not something you want to trust at face value. Or perhaps they don't use tools like SEO Spyglass to monitor the links...? For a great resource on how to build links, or even think about links, I can't say enough about Terry Kyle's Backlinks Hydra. IMHO, it's the best information out there on the subject. Effective backlinks are work, like anything else worth doing. Cheers. | |
