Here's a recent video from Google's Matt Cutts that shares the reason why pages may rank top stop for a given keyword phrase even though there is no sign of that keyword phrase in the domain or on the page of that site - BIG clue to work on relevant, natural inbound links with keywords in the anchor text... I remember reading something that proved the importance of anchor text that highlighted an eg. - if you search for the keyword "click here" the top ranking site using Google is Adobe. Why is that? Millions of sites have links with anchor text "click here" to get adobe reader. |
