Howdy I was away from home for the last couple of days and when I got home I checked my Adsense....Yesterday was a little high, but not to be considered out of the normal. Today's figure is 4Times yesterdays, and about 10 times the average. Now I'm not talking huge amounts here, all well under $100, but I'm worried that Google might think it is suspicious and do something. Do I have anything to worry about? This would be the first time anything like this happened on the account. Like I said we were in Corpus Christi all day yesterday and until about 2000 tonight, with no computer access, so I know we couldn't have done it. Done it, if this was anything more than a normal day (a great normal day...LOL) Kevin |

Did you have an increase in traffic to your site or just a lot more clicks from the same amount of traffic? I'd think since you're still dealing with smaller numbers youre okay but i'm just guessing that! ![]() rich, howdy neighbor!! |

This happened to me once a few years ago, I didn't even have many clicks and I don't know if it was one person doing them all, but Google closed my account and would not listen to anything I said. I hope that it was due to an increase in traffic for you and not one person thinking they are smart by clicking on your links. Fingers crossed it will all be ok! |

Hello, Does this happen on a regular basis, and does Google track the IP addresses that are clicking on the ads? I have been trying to get approved for an Adsense account for over a week now. As far as I'm concerned Google needs to hire more help to keep up with demands, or maybe they just need more competition to keep them on their toes. I have been warned in the past from banner exchanges that accused me of clicking on the banners on my own site. It seems to me that with todays technology Google especially would be able to tell what IP addresses were clicking on the Adsense ads. Best of luck to ya. |

Howdy It sure would be nice if it would stay that high everyday I tried going to my CPanel and see if I could figure anything out there, but I didn't know what I was doing, so I didn't learn anything. ![]() Just going by the Google stats the pageviews areon the high side of avg, the clicks are 3X my avg, but I have had other days close to the number of clicks. The money made is way more than I make on avg, and about 2X the highest I ever had before. This would be easier if I could put figures but I seem to remember that post our stats is against the TOS Kevin |

If you're paranoid try and contact Google to let them know you think foul play could be involved. Most of the time if you haven't done anything wrong you should be all good. |

When we are get involved in adsense, we are willing to take risk to loose our account even we did the right thing... Adsense is their business. They can do anything they want. But there's some ways to get another account. |

If you have your account in good standing for a long time (few years), you are most likely safe. I have seen such activity on my account more than once in the last few years, and the ctr was exceptionally high. Google would just reduce the number of clicks (which it thought were invalid). I still have my account with me. |

You should also install some sort of real time stat software that can show people who click on Adsense. I use statcounter, it isn't the most reliable but it does work well for catching suspicious visitors to your site and it's free. Disclaimer about Statcounter. It will sometimes show lots of Adsense clicks which aren't really clicks. Just ignore them, but if you see one IP clicking on mulitple different ads, then you should definitely give Google that IP information. Next, watch your Adsense statistics very carefully today and if things get crazy again, you need to remove your website from the allowed sites list. This list will only work if you have at least one site in there. So if the site getting all the clicks is your only site, then just add a blogspot blog or another secure place where you could run Adsense. You don't have to even put Adsense on the site which is 'allowed' but you've got to have at least one site there for it to work. If you get a bunch of suspicious clicks, you need to secure your site from the invalid activity and protect advertisers from paying for bad clicks. Allowed sites list will leave the ads on your site but not pay you for impressions or clicks. This protects the advertisers interests. Lastly, I would make a post in the Adsense help forum in the disabled accounts section. This will serve as documentation if/when your account get disabled. Unfortunately I went through a similar situation several weeks ago and I'm still closely monitoring statistics. If things are suspicious again today, you should definitely take the above steps. Review this thread by a really excellent guy at the Adsense help forum. He saved my account and if you follow that advice, you'll be alot better off. http://www.google.com/support/forum/...a938411f&hl=en He had his Adsense account disabled twice and got it back twice for activity like this...because he made use of the allowed sites function and documented everything. You've got to document these things very meticulously. Adsense auto-bans around payout time for suspicious activity, and in order to appeal that, you want lots of documentation. Hope that helps, and you definitely need to be vigilant. - Jacob | |

I wouldn't worry about it, unless it happens every day for a week or so. If you contact G just for some fluke in high CTR & nothing is really wrong, that just gives them a reason to watch everything you do, more than usual. |

I think you are probably OK now, otherwise your account would have suspended automatically by a bot on the day. This happened to me a few years but I appealed successfully.
