Default Can anyone please give me some pointers on using Adwords?

Ok, so I'll admit, the last time I set up an Adwords campaign I got my fingers burned!!

Just wondering if anyone can offer advice - must do this, don't do that etc.

Or, if there are any good guides to purchase.

Many thanks in advance.

David

Me also ... not for very much, because I was cautious and conservative and had heard that the learning-curve is typically a bit expensive.

I've looked at many, David.

The two I recommend really strongly are: primarily this onethis one , and secondarily this onethis one .

These seem far better written, more informative and more helpful than any "online information" I've seen at all (including - surprisingly - Perry Marshall's), and I've seen, and bought, a lot. The Howie Jacobson book, in particular, is excellent.

Alexa Smith ...

... writes stuff that snaps, crackles and pops, even if it's only about cauliflowers.

Sorry - I failed to notice that you're in the UK and linked to amazon.com by habit. Ironically, because I'm in the UK myself! I got them both at Waterstone's. Good luck.

Man...Adwords is great!

But it's VERY important that you start small initially.

The TWO BEST resources on Adwords that are out at the moment is:

Advanced Adwords by Brad Geddes

Ultimate Guide To Pay Per Click Advertising by Richard Stokes

I still refer to them to this day!

Thanks Tommy, I will look out for them AND start out small.

I have a budget of £100 per day for 5 days to trial it with so will see how it goes.

BTW - apologies for posting the OP in the wrong place and thanks to whoever moved it.

David
