Default Site Tagline Question - Adsense

Would the tagline "Great resource for suppliers and retailers" with only links for adsense on the pages go against Adsense TOS?

Am i misleading the visitors? The adds are suppliers or retailers, so im not being dishonest.. just kinda leave them no choice but to click an add IF there intentions were to find a retailer or supplier..

Yes. Don't do it.

just add a simple paragraph about "Great resource for suppliers and retailers" or some actual links to these resources....that should take a whole 10 minutes to do!!!!

haha! Yeah, but i dont want people to click on these resources.. i want them to click my adds If there's any links on my page other than adsense, then it would be to a high pr site like wiki purely for SEO.. The advertisers have good enough content for my visitors.

I changed it to "A Great resource for reviews and information on the best ...."

I feel better now dont feel like im misleading people anymore.. (some might actually only click on my site to get this list of "suppliers and retailers" only to find adsense.. not good)

Just put a simple description of each business resource, no external links.

A list of 10 business descriptions could be an entire page of content.

Dude.

Feeling better about yourself will not protect your adsense account. Don't put anything but Sponsored Links or Advertisements above your ads.

It is against the TOS. Just because you don't think it's misleading doesn't mean the Adsense team won't.

Why would you even risk it? People are supposed to click on ads because they are interested in what they say. Not because you put some catchy phrase above them.

EDIT:
If you're just talking about the tagline that appears under your blog title, then nevermind what I said.

But instead of trying to trick people into clicking ads, make your tagline a clear representation of what your website is about.

If you get lots of clicks from confused visitors, it will lead to your account being smart-priced because the clicks don't convert.

Adsense is about being a legitimate business, not trying to manipulate people into clicking ads.

True Jacob, but we all have our own ways of getting clicks, and
do your favorite: STFU about it.

You cannot put anything above the adsense links, except like Jacob
described. Because google adds the words, "Or similar..." many people take
that to mean they can write whatever they wish and think it's the similar.

Most times it's not.

You get clicks via 3 things that all must mesh.

Targeted visitors. Targeted ads. Strategically placed.

Looking twice at what you wrote, after reading from Jacob, what are you
giving your visitors? Great resources, or adsense links?

If the only real resources you have are adsense links, that's an iffy proposition.

You need to learn the art of content without content.

You want your visitors feeling satisfied, but wanting more. If you have
nothing to offer, a click on an adsense link will probably not be coming.

People get a little annoyed at going to pages with ads. Or just links.

My advice would be to write articles specifically geared for your market.

Your visitors have a good choice: To just surf away back home, google, yahoo, etc.

The art comes in by giving them content to absorb, THEN given a choice where to
go next.

If you want ideas on content without content, go to EZA and search for your niche.

Paul
