Normally the advice with backlinking is to get your main keywords into the anchor text. Given that LSI keywords are a really good way to highlight keyword relevance on your own website, is there any value in deliberately using LSI keywords in the anchor text of backlinks? I was thinking - add a bit of variety, make backlinks look a bit more natural but also, increase the overall relevance of your site to the search engines. |

I have a main keyterm, and a set of related terms. I use them all in anchor text as long as the exact term is on the page it points to.
