You have an interesting question! I have not thought that there could be some specific differences between getting high rank in .com or .de Google, I think that basic principles are the same if you are aware with SEO. Let's see if there will be completely different opinions!

I would wager the same things. I would just suggest that you use German sites and make sure that your site is hosted on a German server. All of those things work directly to boost relevance to the local market but then also they will help indirectly by reducing load time and things like that.

For german websites you need backlinks from german, austrian and swiss sites. 3 years ago almost all of the german article directories were downranked, so the few which work anymore have high quality requirements. So if you join the german market, you should be sure that the textes you use a correct in spelling and grammar. Both on your websites and for the directories. There are several strong forums in Germany, which are great for SEO. But here it is not enough to have a link in your profile it should be in a thread.

YEah I agree with this sentence.. Its the best way to improve your german site..I would just suggest that you use German sites and make sure that your site is hosted on a German server.

Sorry mate, I sort of need to disagree with you here. Some of the principles may be the same between ranking for google.com and google.de but the way you go about SEO is completely different for both. This does not seem to always be the case when it comes to google.co.uk, google.ca etc. After extensive research I have found that google.de is very "special" when it comes to SEO.

It's the same as ranking any other site. The best is to have a .de domain hosted on a german server. But I got ranked high one test site of mine with .com tld and on an US server

hi, you want to make a SEO fo a website but on geographical basis. So yo have to find all the geographical base resources to start deploying SEO work for the site. for eg, Your have to search forum in Google.de or blogs for commenting and many more required resources from Google.de to get Geo base niche traffic to your website.
