Default How does Jeff Walker get away with google adwords?

I noticed that in the months prior to PLF 3.0, that there were google adwords for productlaunchformula.com.

Back then, it was nothing but a squeeze page, just him talking and an opt in form. Doesn't google hate that?

And now, I see that there are still sponsored links for productlaunchformula.com, which of course now is nothing but a "sold out" squeeze page.

How does he get away with this? How does he not get slapped?

Go back to what Google wants - a quality search experience for its users.

So someone comes looking for PLF. They find his site through Adwords and he tells them "hey, we're full, but put your name on the waiting list and we'll let you know if anything opens up."

Nothing wrong with that.

Nothing wrong with it, no...but would google still consider that a "quality experience?"

And also, how would you explain how he was able to use adwords to send users to his squeeze page prior to releasing PLF 3.0? He must know something we don't know...right?

I have wondered about this myself. And a colleague of mine said he knows quite a few guys who are quietly getting away with these things.
I guess its because he's Jeff Walker.

Maybe there's a simpler solution. "Slapped" just usually means Google put a higher price on the cost-per-click.

Maybe Jeff is simply prepared to pay that price.
