Google doesn't really like this. You can, but you would have to buy a domain to redirect the affiliate link, if it is an affiliate link. You can *technically* do it with Facebook, but are you sure you really want to? In my own limited Facebook PPC experience, Facebook traffic requires a good bit of preselling. It would likely be more cost effective to send the traffic to a squeeze page so you could capture email addresses, or send them to your Facebook Fan Page to collect the opt in that way. You can even create a "squeeze" form on your Fan Page. If you're going to pay for traffic, you want to get the most for your money. If you send people straight to a sales page (especially if it isn't yours!) then you completely lose them if they close the page. Get them to "like" your fan page, or sign up for your list, and you can sell to them over and over again, thereby making your advertising budget go much further. |

If you own the sales pages YES, if you link as an affiliate to someone else's, then NO. At least not on Google. |

With Google even if you own the product you very well may get slapped. They do not like long form sales letters any more. Cheers, Matt |

The answers above are truly bizarre and incorrect. Can you send PPC traffic in Google et al straight to a sales page? Even a merchant's page if you are an affiliate? Yes. Of course you can. I do it every day. Go ahead and try it yourself. Now there is a different question on whether you "should" do this because you can maximize your income by sending traffic first to your own page ... but that is a different question. |

it is also important to check this as it's no good saying yes you can direct link which is true but you can not direct link to all sites because they do not meet terms. the best answer is to send G a link and ask if the site meets advertising terms before listing it for G ads to be safe / if you are unsure, even then as an affiliate you need to make sure the vendor does not change out the page after wards as this may also lead to account suspension. | |

I think the best option would be to go with an optin page so that you can build your list

tryinhere / Matt: I agree there can be a problem direct linking to certain merchants, NOT because there is any problem with direct linking, but because Google has deemed the merchant's website "unworthy". That is why the merchant cannot also not use Adwords to send traffic to their own website. Generally speaking, we can probably agree that direct linking to a physical product for a well known merchant in Linkshare is less risky than direct linking to a how to make money product in ClickBank. Ultimately, direct linking is not the issue. Linking to a page that Google considers a quality page is the issue. |

Yes, you can. If the sales page is not an affiliate link but a top level domain (TLD) like www.joebobsite.com, then no problem. You can even do a sub domain like: facebook.com/mycoolness. But Google doesn't allow direct linking to affiliate links because imagine if 10 affiliates all linked to the same site. It would be ten ads doing the same thing. Don't want to scare off the net surfers. But there's no guarantee of sales unless the sales page copy is good enough to convince people to buy. So most experts advise that you send the traffic to an opt-in page where people sign up to your list. It's easier to nurture a relationship and market to visitors who stay with you than to keep hunting for new ones. |

Google isn't likely to give you a good quality score if you link strait to a sales page.

I banned Google 6 months ago and am happy and content to not have to worry about google's little high school whiz kids making decisions whether to shut off my account today or not. I direct link tons of promos on Bing and sit back and collect just like in the olden days.
