If my website has 100 over pages, I will be running out of ideas.

If I do not have title to certain pages of my website, how it affect my website?

Many CMS programs have extensions/plugins that help with that . If you are using a CMS (Wordpress, Joomla, drupal etc) then check there.

          Hi firescorpz,

In the title to your thread you asked "How important is the title to a website?" Well, for SEO purposes the title to your website isn't even recognized by search engines, not important at all really. Search engines index and rank individual web pages, not websites, therefore it is your individual page titles that are important for ranking, not your website title.

Since you can, and should, rank each and every individual page of your website, the keywords that you target for each individual page should be included in the title to maximize ranking power. Quit trying to rank your website and focus on getting the individual pages of your website to rank for keywords that are appropriate for the individual pages. You will have much greater overall success if you approach your SEO in this fashion.

            Hi,

This mean each individual page title are very important. But if that the case, does that mean each individual page of a website will have a different rank in a search engine?

              Yes, of course.
Each individual page has its own content, its own links and its own traffic.

Your title is one component to your on page seo. Ideally you want your main keyword in the title. When you create a page, is it targeting a specific keyword or phrase? If so try and put that in the title.

Each page should have it's own, captivating, original title.... IMO!

What's the first thing people see in the SERP??! The title...

So, yeah, try to make your page titles unique, yet catchy and informative, but most importantly: to-the-point! Create a title that's just BEGGING people to click it! Just don't label it "Click Me"

      CHEERS!

yeh, the title tag is an important seo component. Keywords in title, keywords in h1 and keywords in body(at least a 5% density). And also keywords in your alt tags for images. I think that covers it!
    Cheers and hope this helps

As everyone says, the keyword in the title is very important for SEO purposes. Make sure you target different keywords on every single page in order to avoid keyword cannibalization.

If you are running out of ideas for keywords then try the Google wonder wheel tool. It's great for generating ideas for keywords and topics. Just type your initial keyword into the Google search bar as usual and then, to the left of the search results, you will see a links that says "more search options", click on that and then on the wonder wheel.

The title tag of a page is an important on-page optimization criteria and it should contain the keyword for which the page is optimized. So, don't use the same title tag for each and every page - make it unique for each page and if possible (if you have some space left), add some sort of call to action.

Title is the only one which identify your unique page. Each page of your website must have title. Because the more you have title on respective pages the more you can capture readers’ mind and searches. By giving title you can capture more keywords.

I personally think the title is a very important aspect in SEO. It helps you list better on Google. And also when the keywords match with your Title, in the google search result the title shows up in bold. The bold font on the search result is always better than the normal. Its just a common practise followed by humans, they will always go for the one which stands out. Even if your keywords are really good in the content of your website, the title still counts alot. And besides Google search engine, there are few other search engines which list your websites based on your title. Google is not the only search engine you should always consider. Any traffic is good traffic according to me. So target all the important search engines.

  • Title is one of the most important factor in SEO.
Google and many other search engines takes title seriously , If you have
good and related title then you have done almost 5% of your seo work.
You should always have a title that is very much related to your article and it should not be very lengthy.

The Title tag is the single most important on site factor SEO for 2 reasons.

#1. It has the largest influence on rankings
#2. A well written one that includes keywords will get a higher click through rate.

Most CMSs, including wordpress, have unique <title> plugins, so if you're not feeling too ambitious, that is an easy was to avoid duplicate titles. Get All-In-One-SEO-Pack for wordpress and it'll do that for you as well as give you the ability to write custom titles for your main pages.

While the title tag is extremely important for the SEO aspect and the link on a SERP don't forget to add a good description to go along with it. While not that important SEO wise it's another way to highlight what's on your page an encourage a click through. After all, it's the click you want, not just the top ranking!

The title tag is very important for site SEO, perhaps the most important factor in search engine page ranking. Using keywords in your title tag has the biggest weight in determining search engine ranking on the site. Almost as great - you place the keywords in the tag. How then can you see when you determine the keywords to target, title tag should be the first to start optimizing for these keywords.

      Hi harrisonsmith,

This would be true if you were referring to the "page" tile and not the "website" title. Search engines index individual pages, not websites. I think you may be confusing Search Engines with their simpler cousin the website directory.

Title is the most important thing to ranking a page. If you use Google Advanced Search, you can get ranked in the keywordsinurl, the in anchor, and in text on the page without it actually appearing all by blasting that page with backlinks. You cannot do this for the title.
