Google Keyword Tool not returning keywords

The new interface is turning out to be a challenge...

Sometimes the keyword tool does not return any keyword ideas even though it obviously should return a whole bunch.

For example: if I search for the keyword 'hp laptops' I get no suggestions.

My Settings are:
USA, English
Ideas including my search term
broad match

If I ask for all keyword ideas - I get 18 results (which is also way too low) - none of them related to hp laptops.

I like the Google Keyword Tool (at least I liked the old interface) and would like to keep using it.

Any suggestions for getting it to return better results?

Just found the answer to my question - in case anyone else is having the same problem...

brand names are probably restricted to minimize long tail keyword bidding on protected brand names.

If I do this(same settings as above) I get the Broad, "Phrase" and [Exact] searches for 'hp laptops' no matter which box is checked under match types on the left!
