What is your overall SEO strategy?

Hi all. Would everyone please share their overall SEO strategy for their site and discuss any significant results you have gotten from specific techniques?

1. Research for high traffic and low competition keywords.

2. Optimize my blog for my keywords with 15 different steps (includes permalink, blog title, plugins, etc).

3. Build links slowly and naturally with a combination of article directories, web directories, blog commenting (dofollow and nofollow), web2.0, etc.

I think Alex pretty much summed up a pretty good OVERALL summary of an SEO campaign. #1 on Alexs' point is probably the most crucial to see the most success out of your strategy.

I wrote a detailed post on my blog on the Long Tail Keywords for SEO (PalatnikFactor.com) and its benefits, etc with examples.

#3 of course, build links slowly and naturally is the best way. You will deff have some paid directories that will give you pretty good juice. Yahoo Directory is a good example and then the big free ones, if you can get into DMOZ, you're in luck (could take a LONG TIME)

I think Content is king as you must have heard already. Creating good content will allow for good social media campaigns, etc. Make your site as big as possible.

Add fresh content at least 1 page/post per week
