Is Linking Back To Same Page Helps In SEO?

When i have link with anchor text pointing to that same page, is it good for SEO? Is it worth doing so?

Example:

mydomain.com/dog-training.html

Links to:

mydomain.com/dog-training.html

Nope this isn't gonna help your seo efforts. However, a good internal linking structure is always helpful so if you can use good anchor text that links to other pages within your site that will be of some use.

I don't see any anchor text.

If you mean linking to your other pages off the main page the same way,
that's how I do it. I have a sidebar of links that link to each and every
article. This sidebar shows up on every page, exact same place. I link
mainly to the main index page, most pages have PR based soley on those
internal links. One is #1 with google for the terms.

For variety, outside linking to pages other than the main page done about
25% of the time for variety. Build authority, and all you need are links to
the main page. The rest will get passed down.

I myself always use the same anchor text for the main page backlink. I chose
this (before instant) by typing in the first keyword I had and seeing what
google suggested. I chose that phrase. It works like a charm. Especially
since google instant. For the other pages, I get the phrases due to the
authority of internal linking. Others are lamenting instant, I chose it before
it happened!
