I've seen PRweb.com
I've read dozens of ezine articles and web articles telling me to write as if someone else is doing the extolling of my virtues, even though the editor knows it's me doing the talking... Ok, so let's say I do create a masterpiece press release... Where do I send it? Just make a page and title it "For Immediate Release", and get it to rank for the keywords I want to target??? or is there more to it? is there an offline protocol that I don't know about? thanks, you guys/gals are the neatest thing since sliced bread (and I'm almost old enough to remember when it wasn't sliced) |

Hi David,
I'm not totally sure what you mean here. Especially where you say: "Where do I send it? Just make a page and title it "For Immediate Release", and get it to rank for the keywords I want to target???" You submit the release itself to the PR sites, in a similiar way to submitting articles to directories. Most require you to create an account (usually free to do) then you log in to your account and copy & paste the release into the submission form that you can access within. Does that answer the question? Hope it helps. Michael |

Hey David - check out existing prweb press releases - look at them as an 'example ' for format. Once you create a userid at prweb, there are many great educational tips they give you that should help you alot.
It depends on what service you use, e.g. in webwire - I never have to say 'for immediate release' (used to have to do that in the early 2000's when there were so few pr sites to submit... but now, when you submit - there are fields the pr website service offers you to fill in, including contact name, company, phone number, keywords, etc.) In regards to the someone else, not sure if you have thought of this, but your could create a 'pr department' for your company, with a pen name, and that is who wrote the release...and they quote you in the press release so you add yourself as the authority, your message...etc. Hope that helps, Mia |
