Angela Backlinks no longer in top 10

Did you notice that Angela backlink goarticle is no longer in the top 10 list? Now it has been replaced by someone else's page, I think it's belong to TK, he's one of the backlink masters here.

I think it's one of the bad thing for not having your own domain, Angela should think about it long time ago.

it's not terribly hard to outrank angela's backlinks. If you throw enough firepower against anything, you'll see results

Actually, I just wouldn't recommend anyone try to rank GoArticles period. GoArticles is PR4 now (that might be good for Joe Schmoe's blog..but for what many consider as an elite article directory?), the articles there are harder then hell to index, and they just don't rank as well as they used to.

I've always been a proponent of ranking your own domains that you own and that you control over content posted on others' sites that they can take down at any time and for any reason.

Note that the OP is talking about Angela's GoArticle ranking for the term "backlinks", rather than actually outranking Angela's backlinks.

By the way, I have seen something very weird with GoArticles these days, and I think I have mentioned it in Warrior Forum too before. If I head on to a proxy like pagewash etc and see the "USA view" if you know what I mean, I see GoArticles to be ranked a lot lower than what I see from Google.com viewing from India (and I am talking about Google.com, not Google.co.in). This has been more close to two months or maybe even a little more than two months now, unless memory is failing me.

One-off or a few out of many would be okay, but I have seen this to repeat with every single GoArticle of mine. I still show up at #1-#3 from India for many GoArticles of mine that now rank anywehre between #5-#10 from the USA.

There is even a niche in which I had held #1 with the GoArticle and #2 with my own domain for all the three main keywords (well, #3 for one of the three main keywords apart from the #1 with the GoArticle), and almost like a piece of irony I am now #1 for my own domain from the USA since this behavior of Google.com helped me beat my own GoArticle with my own site!! But the GoArticle rank drop factor is showing up across multiple niches indeed of mine.

No, it means that GoArticles has lost its power. I have lost a number of #1 and a ton of page-1 GoArticles rankings a few days back - something that I have discussed on this forum.

No - it means several people with far MORE Power decided to prove a point.

Massive firepower and backlink automation were unleashed on the term - backlinks - and Angela i donth think had a chance. Even with outsourced resources - she couldnt keep up with what Terry and Tom threw at it ... as welll as several backlinksforum members.

No, what you are missing here is that it is not Angela who has lost her rank with her GoArticle. It is a ton of GoArticles that have lost rank, for many people, including Angela, and me, and some other Warriors who acknowledged it. It has nothing to do with Angela's GoArticle and the way that it was ranked. As I keep mentioning, some of my GoArticles that have been #1 for some time, including ones that have been #1 for more than a whole year, have suddenly lost ranks. In fact, some of my GoArticles (including some #1s) have been deindexed from Google. So its got completely to do with GoArticles and probably nothing to do with Angela.

So, the loss is centered around GoArticles rather than Angela. And yes, in my eyes, it has lost the power that it once had.

EDIT: I noticed my oldest post on this thread. That was written at a time when the GoArticle losing power fact was settling in. Now it has lost a lot lot more power.

I'm sure she'll be fine, I don't think that article drove the bulk of the sales for her, shes a forum legend with a few thousand people paying her $5 a month

Perhaps more interestingly, she created a mini economy in the Phillipines with all the backlinkers there. Fascinating stuff

Making profile backlinks is not effective as previous months. Specially when many webmasters ban these profiles and also as webmasters don't write in those forums, only profile can't help them.

Although I agree with Steve that the term in question does get a good amount of consistent firepower so if one doesn't keep up, one will surely slide, I am with you 100% on the GoArticles thing.

GoArticles just don't rank like they used to. It is insane the number of GoArticles that were top 3 in the not too distant past and now they are gone. Similarly placed articles on other article or web 2.0 sites are still kicking for those same searches. IMHO, at this point those who use GOA to try and get articles ranked do so at their own peril.

(1) "specially" is not a word

(2) deleting specific profiles means nothing when there are 100k+ fish in the sea.

the more interesting and telling thing to me is that no one in the top three (obviously not wikipedia of course) ranks in the top three for this term on the kind of backlinks that she made popular - profile links. They all use non profile links and even bought links (directly or through domain buys) to really boost their sites.

She made search results for that term famous by using that as a demonstration of profile link power but once the competition really heated up it wasn't enough or impractical to keep up. Confirms what I have often said. Profile links are good to start out with. Sticking with them long term in really competitive terms is not a solid plan.
