2 Awesome Tricks To Instantly Boost Article Traffic For FREE + BONUS !!!

Thought I would put this up for the benefit of all. As someone who now mass publishes other peoples articles I can honestly say that the following techniques can very easily help your articles get backlinks and ranking FAST. (thats not to mention the great flow of traffic). They must be used well and with respect or they will not work at all.

Once your article has been published, copy the url and head over to Yahoo Answers and open an account if you don’t have one, it’s free.

Trick 1

• Find a category of questions that are relative to your article
• Do not post an answer to any questions on the first page. Instead go to page 2 and search for an answer there. You preferably want an answer around 2 hrs old. After it’s 2 hours old the overzealous moderators who sit there all day eating twinkies and banning marketers have moved on to where all the new action is, the NEW questions.
• Find a good question and give the best answer you can. Stroke the personality of the person that has asked the question, make them feel good. People always generally pick an answer as a favorite if it A, answers their question and B, makes them look good or intelligent.
• At the end of your answer leave the link to your article in the resource box below your answer. This will also get your articles indexed very quickly with Yahoo.

Trick 2 – This one can generate more than 100 clicks per hour if you do it right !

• Go to about.com and open an account, it is free as well
• Find a subject relating to your niche
• Put up a VERY CATCHY post in that section with a text link to your articles url (your keyword) in your post. The better your article is the more clicks you will get as it can get voted up. Great for getting noticed.

The better the quality of your posts and answers the better you will do with this. Too many people go running in and spam these places openly. If you treat them nice they can send you a mountain of traffic.

BONUS TRICK- 2,500 BACKLINKS WITH THE CLICK OF A MOUSE: As I mentioned a few days ago, I said I was adding an extra "bonus trick" that will get your 2.0 sites, blogs and websites indexed virtually overnight and create many backlinks so here it is. They are not high quality baclinks by any stretch of the imagination and many do fall off over time but nonetheless they are still free one way backlinks which I have used and that DO WORK. They are from mostly site listing/whois type sites and only top level domains are accepted apart from some 2.0 sites.

You are too right Rob, so many marketers just dont take the time to do it right.

I wrote a small piece and put it on about.com linking to my newly published article. Less than 24 hours later that article made it onto the most viewed list at EZA in it's category. Not rocket science ay !

Now there is something like 9,000 incoming links to my article from all the other articles in it's category and it is on page 1 of Google for it's keyword because of all those links.

It just involves taking the time to doing your marketing properly instead of tearing round the net publishing like a madman.

Ethical is the only way to go now as the big G are cleaning things up real fast at the moment.

Did you know that they are now using fancy voice recognition software now to figure out how many time your keyword is in your Youtube video.

Nice post, indeed. I'm still shocked at some of the foolish things I did early on in IM...and I'm even more shocked to see some early articles still producing. You can make some mistakes & still make a buck, and I think that's the greatest thing about IM. Then again, the key is learning from those mistakes & then putting your "aha" moments into action. It's a good reminder that there are some inventive & better ways to do things, and in time, we all find a way!

how about posting a snippet of your article to web.2o after it's been approved , then social bookmark it, grab the rss feeds of that socialbookmarked article and submit it to rss feed aggregators, then ping.... my site has remained in google 1st page , top#3 for many months now doing this technique ( best of all, the steps mentioned above were mostly done by automation).

Two things;
1. It seems that you have to apply to be a contributing writer to post at About.com. Am i missing something?
2. After reading recent posts at yahoo answers the majority seem to be coming from school age kids/ teens. When I did a search for topics on business, marketing many of these questions were a couple years old. This is to build back links and high search ranking not neccessarily help or target the question askers right?

You need to join so you can comment. When you leave a comment or reply you can add anchor text in your reply.

You should apply for a contributing author account. They dont take long to get approved.

They will not become active until your account reaches a certain number of answers. However what we are after here is the traffic. If your answer is good they will visit.

Keep doing this for a week to all of your articles and you will soon see a decent spike in traffic.

You have to be at least a level 2 before your links become clickable in yahoo answers.

Another great traffic source if craigslist forums. No one even knows about this feature, everyone is spamming the main craigslist classifids left and right while the forums is wide open and far less heavily moderated.

Craigslist forums are visible from everywhere, all cities, so unlike the classifieds you don't have to post it in every city to get visibility. You can post clickable links once your account is 7 days old. Craigslist froums is awesome and you don't get banned and get your stuff deleted unless you blatantly spam.

There are loads of great free traffic resources like these, but it only brings traffic when you put the right content. If it's boring spam about acai berries or get your ex back, none of it will work for you.

thing is most people are after backlinks when it comes to publishing content. this generally means the content is not really worth reading and only exists to create a backlink. this DOES positively impact search rankings and if that's the end goal, it's probably the most efficient way of going about it!

whether that method should be strictly classed as marketing is another matter...

It's great you're pointing out the real key to getting that traffic to convert (and consequently make money). Driving traffic to your articles is great, but if your articles suck then that work would have been all for nothing!

You have some great articles there, and I'm sure you're experiencing pretty high click-through rates, so between the massive traffic and the great articles I'm sure you're getting pretty awesome conversion rates!

I've been posting to about.com for a while and it does generate moderate traffic if done right. Another excellent trick to get lots of backlinks is to print out your site's url and then go to your local Walmart and put them on windshields. Just kidding, but maybe it would be worth a laugh for someone to try.

Depends on the moderator and how many twinkines they have eaten that day.

Thanks John, yes there is a lot to be said for doing things properly. It is quite sad the path that internet marketing has gone down. So many new methods hit the marketplace everyday but nobody really concentrates on the core traffic machines.

I guess many marketers are still searching for that silver bullet eh....

Now take his advice and kick it up a few notches.

How many sites have you posted to that provides you with an RSS feed?
Take those feeds and submit them to the rss feed aggregators.

Turn your articles into audio and submit them to the podcasting sites.

You will create more backlinks and traffic.

Thanks Paul, click thru rate is currently around 33% and yes good articles really do help but when you get mass republished the backlinks that your article picks up give enough link juice to send your money site to the top of the serps anyway.

A good article simply gives you more qualified visitors.

I think this just smacks in the face those people who say that they do not want to link to their articles on someone else's website, giving some stranger traffic to their articles...

In my opinion, if the article is great to begin with, it does not matter where people find your articles... If the content works, your website will get traffic when your article gets traffic...

A less than idea article on your own website that fails to convert is the same as an article on someone else's website that fails to convert a reader into a buyer... LOL
