Ok...I have broke night so not at my best but what do you mean about opt-in ...if I do not ask for people to opt-in i can post in wso correct me if I am wrong...lost here....maybe i should go to sleep have not broke night like this in years too old in my 50's can't handle it like in my teens or 20's...lol...

What sites will boost your rankins for short and long term keywords?

I mean sites like squidoo and hubpages.

In addition to this, should we backlink to those sites as well?

Another question, what is the correct method of finding and posting to these types of sites

Beyond the OPT-in and WSO issues, you have a GREATER issue which is asking noobs about SEO, to which they know very little to anything about.

Honestly, that's like asking someone who just got sworn into the Air Force and has just entered Basic Training, "What do you want to know about a 341?"

They won't know what to ask about a 341 until they are told exactly what it is, what it does and how it can impact their military career.

Consequently...

• How many noobs know to ask about ON Page SEO and OFF Page SEO?
• How many noobs know to ask about Link Decay or Link Velocity?
• How many noobs know to ask about reverse engineering their competitors site's?
• How many noobs know to ask about SOC?
• How many noobs know to ask the real difference between DO Follow and NO Follow backlinks?
• How many noobs know to ask about tools like BIE, BLB, SEOLD, BMD, MS, etc.?
• How many noobs know to ask about building their own Backlink building network?

Your idea, albeit novel, has one MAJOR flaw; you are asking people provide questions for which they have no knowledge that they should be asking.

If you know your SEO and have something you believe can be a benefit to noobs and to the SEO community, then put it out there.

I would issue one caveat; make sure that YOU know your stuff, because if not, you will most likely get called to the carpet.

Hey crew chief you are absolutely right, now I realize that I cannot get the right questions from those that have no clue on what to ask to begin with....hummm you threw a curve ball and I caught it, so now I cannot follow through here with what I wanted to do, I will have to shut down this thread so not to waste others time. John, "Get Smart" is a show that I can watch the reruns to this very day.

As far as the 341s, its a punishment reward system the Air Force uses to administratively whip Airmen into shape during training. One could receive a 341 because they were late for class. Or, they could receive a 341 because they went above and beyond the call of duty, such as acing a test.

Hey skid sorry this approach on compiling newbie questions is flawed as described here in the thread so I will bring this post down if I can however, here is my 2 cents on your questions, I will try to be as on point as possible, as on page seo is my major strength ....

Sites that have a rank of 4 and up will help, so seek out sites that have high rankings and try to get a link with them using a anchor link which would be your long tail kw if possible.

I mean sites like squidoo and hubpages.

You have to look at their rules on how they work, do they allow dofollow or are nofollow links, if you are using them does no harm to include your long tail as anchor to link back to a page you have set up on your site with that kw .... just in case.

These sites are meant for you to really get more exposure, traffic and 1st page ranking from pages you set up on them if possible, linking back is another strategy with them but if you can get your page on those sites ranking on their site, this can get traffic back to you naturally from them for free, in addition to some linking juice if they allow it.

If it is on topic, it appears natural to SE's to link out to other sites that can compliment your existing site, this is up to you as different people will do so and some will not as some do not want to encourage others to leave their site to quick, as far as benefiting in ranking from linking...I do not believe it is of benefit check into this again as algorithms may change and may count but I do not believe it counts as of now.

Not sure on how best to find them sorry ..but here goes go to yahoo answers and post that question.

Posting to them use your long tail kw's on all of these pages and in the body of text to rank inside and outside of them.

Do not know enough about them, but they border possibly on black hat seo this would be my concern, it may be quick fix but for how long is the question before google outlaws it and penalizes people for using this.

It is your call whether to use it or not, seems like it is a viable method but unsure about the future consequences of using them.

Roll of the dice, as long as it is grey hat seo and you weigh out benefit vs risks then all is fair game in getting ranking, black hat seo is also fair game for those that know how to use them and start over again when they are brought down quickly, it work for them but I prefer long stable rankings as opposed to a see saw...

The bottom line this is not building natural links but what the heck all is fair game depending on benefits vs risks...hope this helps and seek out others who have been using them for a while or other seo forums.
