I've never touched google adwords, but i am planning on starting pretty soon, however all the rules & regulations just confuse me. I keep hearin all sorts of stuff that u can or can't link directly to sales page etc So i need up-to-date answers from people who're active adwords users. 1. Can i link directly to sales page? (selling physical product or ebook ) 2. If i send adwords traffic to video squeeze page that is set out like so: ![]() Is that acceptable? Please only answer if you are absolutely certain, and you are doing this yourself. I need a definitive answer. Thanks in advance. |

That shouldn't be a problem but your page quality score will be low and you won't get many impressions. You may want to have some original content below the video. http://adwords.google.com/support/aw...n&answer=46675 |

| Original content as in TEXT that Google can evaluate to determine how relevant your landing page is to each keyword in your ad group. Quality score is used to determine your CPC as well as your ad position. Quality score is not only affected by CTR, but also the relevance of your ad and its associated landing page (at the ad's destination URL) to your targeted keyword phrase(s) in the ad group. Think of doing basically on-page SEO for your landing page so that it targets the keyword phrases in your ad group. You'll want the keywords from the ad group to appear in prominent places on the landing page - <title>, <h1>, <h2>s, content, URL, etc. |

Hmm. I think that won't be a problem. But is it allowed, then for me to redirect them to a sales page as soon as they opt-in? Thanks for all the responses.

Yes, you can link directly to sales pages. I've never heard anything saying that you cant. I use Ad Words and my ads links directly to my sales pages. Sorry, dont know anything about the video |

I was look at a video Ryan Deiss had on his blog from last year, and he said Google ads do not like long form sales copy. He claims its about navigability etc.

| Don’t use sales copy, use information about the product/service. Have this under the video and form. People will rarely read through it, but to a Google bot it will be keyword rich and highly relevant. You can still have a call to action at the bottom of the page, in case anyone does read all of it. |

The only way to know for sure is to contact Google and ask them if it's ok.
