Just to add a little more fuel to this fire, in Step 5 below, shouldn't we be writing articles found in google's wonder wheel but post these articles to high PR directories that point back to our main site as a true link wheel?

Instead of posting these articles directly to the site that result in direct inlinks as opposed to quality backlinks coming back in. What's your guys opinions on this?

step four: you will see a wheel with spokes that has your keyword in the center. at the end of each spoke are keywords that GOOGLE thinks are relevant to your keyword.

step six: make sure that each of these pages is accessible via your home page.

step seven: if your niche is really high competition, clicking on each of the keywords at the end of each spoke will reveal more keywords, you can then write articles based on these keywords.

Why this works:

Google is still very important and since THEY think that these keywords are relevant, WE should think so too.

They will simply rank you higher because your site will be more 'relevant' in their eyes.

Good tips but the most important part will be start after writing article and posting it.
I have used this method some years a go but promoting pages is another problem.
The most difficult part of ranking a page is the way you should use to build backlinks for this page. Backlinks choose the position of pages on search engines in many cases but you have not told about it. It will be very nice if you share the websites you are making backlinks through them for your created pages too. In this case, your tips will be perfect and useful.
