Maybe you can give me some advice - how to research keywords. What tool should I use to find best long tail keywords. A tool that shows how often my keyword has been searched in Google, Yahoo, MSN and others. I've created a niche homepage, but it seems that I need to work on keyowrds more. Thanks! |

My favorite is Wordtracker, but it is expensive. My second choice is Nichebot. Nichebot is easier to use in my opinion but Word tracker returns the best results for me. |

I have found that most keyword trackers are inconsistent. That being said I suggest you play around with some of the free tools to see what works for you. Try the free version of Wordtracker Free Keyword Suggestion Tool From Wordtracker the free version of Traffic Travis Free SEO Software | Traffic Travis by Affilorama and of course the free Google Keyword Tool https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal Keyword research can often be hit and miss and this makes it very frustrating. Test and see what works for you. |

It is impossible for any keyword tool to track EVERY keyword, long-tail or otherwise, that is searched for. Basically these tools give estimates of search numbers which explains why each tool would return a different result. In my opinion, since Google receives approximately 70% of all searches done online, I would use their keyword search tool more over others.

Many of the posts I read here have common comments about getting lots of clicks but very little to no sales. My experience is that the PPC traffic being paid for is not the right kind. Obvious right? In a nutshell, I have found that there are basically two kinds of searches in Google & other SE's. The first are what I call "early in the search cycle" search terms. These are people looking for education on something. They are click happy but are "not ready" to buy. Now the secret I found is to find "end of the search cycle" search terms. These are people who have satisfied their education needs and are "ready to buy". Most marketers pay for and target the first category and then wonder why they get so few sales. I always hear things like "I had 300 clicks to my landing page and no sales! What am I doing wrong?" A major key to successful PPC campaign is two target the "keywords that sell", those people who are ready to buy stuff. Here's a small sample to get you thinking in the right direction. Informational search terms (lots of clicks, minimal sales): fat loss tips fat burning foods how to lose fat fat loss guides Buyer ready search terms (targeted buyers, more sales): buy fat loss program fat loss cook book fat loss video purchase fat loss book best fat loss program buy truth about fat loss Hope this helps! Best regards, |
