My best suggestions are get your onsite seo basics done right...I am amazed at how many clients I take on that come from other seo companies only to see no H1 tags, bad relevancy, and meta tags. Then just start building links. Thats the basics...After that it turns half science and half theory. |

One basic in search engine optimization is that you cannot explain it in "just a few lines". First of all, there are two TYPES of SEO. ONPAGE SEO is about doing some things on your own website's webpages (codes/tags and content) so the search engines will immediately determine what your website is all about (keywords), and the search engines can then evaluate your website according to your target market/audience. OFFPAGE SEO is the process of getting "votes" in favor of your website - in the form of links pointing to your website or "backlinks - which will then determine your relevance regarding the topic/audience of your website, or your rankings for search terms (keywords). Now, I believe that the more important type of SEO is OFFPAGE. I look at onpage SEO as part of the "product development" phase of an online business. On the other hand, offpage SEO pretty much covers all of the "promotion" phase. Even if you have the product which can change the world, if no one knows about your product, then it is almost equivalent to that product being non-existent. |

A quick SEO write-up for ya! 1. Use meta tags, descriptions, pages titles for every page. 2. Have the majority of your pages in your sitemap (great for google) 3. Use alternate tags for EVERY image on your website. 4. Implement keywords in body text and headers I hope this helpful |
