Default Declining No. Of Backlinks As Per SEO Toolbar

Hi Warriors,

I have noticed a few times, declining no. of backlinks as per SEO toolbar and then a reversal and more consistent increase.

Does this imply that some backlinks are being lost during the declining process?

What else could account for this?

Some of the major search engines have had updates and lots of iffy links have lost their juice-perhaps that's what happened to your site.

This has been identified to be a current problem with Yahoo Site Explorer that Yahoo is looking into.

If you have lost your backlinks suddenly in Yahoo explorer but you are sure that those backlinks are exist, it shows you have made something wrong for promoting your website. For example you made backlinks fast and from low quality websites for your site, then Yahoo de-indexed some of your backlinks and also you have lost some of your indexed pages too. If it happened for you, only try to get some quality backlinks for your website, then the problem will be solved.

Yahoo is doing all sorts of weird stuff with their backlink counts right now, just be patient and keep on building links - don't get too caught up in the amount of links that are showing for your site - concentrate on the rankings.
