We've been doing some testing with a new trick that'll help get your page ranked for a certain search term a lot quicker then normal!... and I'm going to share it with all you lovely people today for nothing! ![]() We've found... and been using with great success recently, that if you add your keyword phrase at the end of your copyright notice at the bottom of the page... Google takes NOTICE!! ... So for instance... YourSite.com - All Rights Reserved 2010 © - Your Main Keyword. Give it a try and let us know how it effects your rankings!!! Enjoy!! |

Damn, that makes sense! Just one question: should I put anchor text on YourSite.com or Your Main Keyword? Now I will try without them but if you say opposite will do so.

Makes sense. Does the keyword on the copyright notice an anchor text?

I must agree. It's always good to have your keyword near the beginning and end of your pages, so putting after the copyright notice is a good strategy. Thanks for sharing with us! |

Yes, it's a good trick but there is nothing new to it. Millions of webpages are using this same technique |

I usually put the name of my website at the footer of my wordpress site but I will try using my main keywords. Thanks of the advice.

Interesting Dan - would you mind sharing your methodology for finding this out? 1. Were you setting a different keyword on each page, or just using the same keyword sitewide? 2. How many sites did you try it on? 3. Did you do it in a controlled environment like doing a test on identical new domains but setting them up with and without that trait? Or was it just on your normal sites? 4. What sort of ranking jump did you get? 5. Did it effect just the homepage on your site or other pages? |

HUGE BUMP and by the way - I tried this, doesn't work for me, my site got crawled, but If this trick made me go up it was from pos 10 to 9. I don't know, maybe google will boost me up for this later, but to report you now, I didn't seem to get great results.

Not really all that new (I remember reading about this on a certain b-hat forum...) Another tweak to that technique, try replacing your "Home" or "Blog" nav-menu item with your main keyword. Done some testing on that, seems to be working very well. |

This is a tip that I have heard people do before (heard of it early 2010 - never heard before that). Out of sheer laziness I have never tried it out - but seems here is another couple of cases helping. Good !!

1. Invest $1. Cut you backlinking by 50%+. Click here. Seduce Google. 2. Find tons of high-commission easy in less than a minute here. 3. War Room release on off-page SEO: Gege Robohop -"Incredible", say Warriors 4. Mindset matters. Look at my last year - nothing to do with IM. | |

Do you use just standard html text for the copyright notice? Or is there some other "correct way" to add a copyright notice?

I'm not sure how that really helps, except bring your keyword density up a fraction of a % or so. Or, am I wrong? What is so magical about a repat of the keyword beside Copyright?
