You haven't done anything wrong. Is it a new site? Have you been doing other backlinking? If so, Google may be just figuring out where to rank your site. It's normal to see fluctuations in your ranking. Keep building backlinks and it will come back.

I don’t think that submitting one article to ezinearticles have caused that. There must be another reason for that or it might just recover in few days.

This is natural and nothing to worry. After few days your site should come up. With new site usually it happens.

What you need to do is consistently build backlinks to your site from different sources. If you used eza, try other article directory sites. At first your site will bounce around but it will soon get back it's steady rankings.

@Abruzzo-- I'm with pretty much everyone else on this board. Don't worry about the slight rankings drop. Google will not penalize you for an Ezine link. I know it's hard (it's still hard for me sometimes) but don't check you're rankings on a daily basis. You'll go mad! Set up a schedule to check them. Maybe once a month or twice a month to get a sense of your overall improvement. Instead use the time to make your website even better! |

[QUOTE=I know it's hard (it's still hard for me sometimes) but don't check you're rankings on a daily basis. You'll go mad![/QUOTE] Agreed. I still fight the urge to drive myself crazy with rankings every day, but I try just to check them once a week if I can control myself! |

The Google Dance is part and parcel of SEO, don't worry about it and as pretty much every Warrior here has said, just keep building quality backlinks to your site using link diversity and different anchor text and you should see some positive results soon! All the best! |

Can't say as though I have ever heard someone ask this question before. EZA won't do anything but help your rankings. That's the bottom line.

Actually Ezine nowadays is one of the best places where to put an article linking to your site. Just keep the link building and don't worry about fluctuations, it's normal.

I had a new site up in #11 and then it was down to #70+ Now the site is steady at #9. It's a new site so Google is trying to figure out your niche and where to place you, it's not Ezine, if anything Ezine can only help you with traffic and backlinks you need for SERPS. Good Luck.

The funny thing about tracking your SERP's for certain keywords is that unbeknownst to you, Google probably ranks you high for some good keywords that you don't even track. I once had a friend email me a link to a Google search that had me ranked at organic position #1 out of 250,000,000 competing pages. The funny thing was, I didn't even try that hard, I just stumbled across what was apparently the perfect combination.

Sounds like a case of the old 'google dance' don't worry about it. Give it a week or two, and you'll be back where you started. There's one way to check and see if you've been penalized or not. According to the official Google Webmaster's blog, if you do a search for your domain, example, yourdomain.com and you rank poorly that is a good sign that you've been penalized for something. Anyone's domain should always come up first when doing a search for that domain. If you find that your backlinks, are ranking higher than your site when doing a search for your site, you might want to re-evaluate your website, and submit your site to Google for reconsideration. I'd be willing to bet a few bucks it's just the Google dance that happens with a lot of new sites. |

This is how I found your EZA. 1) I assumed it was the link in your sig here on WF, I picked the first anchor-text you have in your sig. Abruzzo Villas. 2) Did a Google search for "Abruzzo Villas" site:ezinearticles.com (with quotes). 3) Google returned a single EZA & the link in the EZA was pointing to your sig/site. 4) Went back to Google, clicked advance search changed the SERP count from 10 to 100 results per page. 5) Did a Google search for Abruzzo Villas (without quotes). 6) Did a browser page search for (exact) abruzzo-villas (your domain url name), your site was on the first page of the Google search (#58) 7) To find the location of your EZA (only) in Google SERP I did the exact same steps as #5 & #6 above, your EZA was #126, second page in a 100 results browser page search. |

Could simply be that Google is doing some updating, normally submitting your site to EZA shouldn't throw you off the radar completely, you would only be thrown off the radar if your site was submitted to a site that was later penalised, or a bunch of sites like that and you were linked together

Abruzzo Villas, I forgot to tell you, when you are searching Google, make sure to use something like Google Chrome Incognito browser when doing a manual search. If you use a regular browser without a clean Internet History, you will get personalized search results from Google, which will make your site look like it is ranking a lot better than it really is. Also don't login to any accounts (Google, gmail, etc...) while running the Incognito browser search. |

| As far as article directories go, it is one of the best, especially for industries that do not have industry-specific, aged, authority article directories. I know there are some good ones though in the real estate and travel industries.

@ Abruzzo: google changes their algos at the moment and many people see dramatic changes in serps wich are completely unexplainable. Ok, im one of them My site went 15 positions down and ezine was one of the links i recently build to it. Now, as many said here, ezine link cant ruin your seo, never. So i'd say it can be either google dance or google algo changes, or some odd mix of both. When google changes algos there is a period of mess usually and serps can change nearly hourly. Its hard not to panic, especially if you are a newbie, but try not to get discouraged anyway. If you didnt do anything wild backlinks-wise, your rankings will restore after some time, provided you do your backlinking work properly and regularly. Btw, Abruzzo is a great place, if you actually live around there go relax in the nature and forget google for a while The situation may change to your favour as unexpectedly as it did against!

Ezine only helps in Ezine and never hurts. If your site is new, it could be Google Dance.

If you are sure that your site is under google's scanner. It probably is for over link building. But just one ezinearticle submission can't do any damage. And there is an other side to this too, with time google starts discounting certain links, that could be the result of your ranking loss.

Yes, I have read this all of the stuff and would like tos ay you that I don't think so that and the more thing is that ezine advertising would be my preferred option because it is quick and easy. The only difficult thing is to write ads for your listings.
