Ok, so you are a person trying your luck on the internet from your bedroom and you can't afford to be ranked number 1 on the pay per click searchengines on a certain keyword because you can't afford to pay $20 per click. Do you know what I would do if I was in your position ? I'd approach number 2 (who's paying $15/click) and approach number 3 (who's paying $10 per click) and get them to advertise their links on my website $15/cpm. Now, I'd bid for the top position for $25 and outbid the current website ranking on the top for $20 by $5. When a visitor clicks to my website from the ppc searchengine I'd pay the searchengine $25 and charge my 2 advertisers $15 each for displaying their ads to my visitor that was sent by the ppc searchengine. This way, I spend $25 but earn $30 (profit $5) per click. So, in a sense, I'm ranking on the top position for free! My 2 advertisers get what they want. They get visitors, interested in the top ranked website, pouring their eyes on their ads displayed on my website. Or, instead of showing 2 competing advertiser ads on my website, I can show only 1 and play an audio ad or a video ad for the other. This way, no competing ads are sitting side by side on my website. This way, I get no objections from my 2 advertisers to advertise on my website. They both benefit in a way because they get visitors interested in the top ranked website pouring their eyes and ears on their ads for an amount much less than what they would have spent had they top bidded on the ppc searchengine themselves alone. |
