My site is about 2.5 months old & has climbed up the rankings quickly. At the peak we have 1,150 pages indexed. 2 weeks later that dropped to around 900. And today it's around 725. Most rankings have increased over the last month. The really competitive main keyword has stayed nearly the same depending on the day plus or minus 5 results. It's still on page 4. I am using the "site:domain.com" command to find out. Should I be using something else or am I on the right track here? Should I be worried that pages are being taken out of the index? Your comments are very welcomed, post them below |

Do you really have 1150+ pages, or do you also have pages, category pages, tag pages etc.

10% of those are category, sub-category, & blog post pages. All real pages with real unique content. We don't do tags or fake pages of any kind. It's a clean e-commerce website. Please explain?

Are you still gaining backlinks? Assuming that your content is unique, the usual cause for results becoming deindexed is lack of PageRank in the site. Also, how is your site linked internally? |

1) Go to Google Advanced Search, change the "Results per page" from 10 to 100. 2) Search for your site:domain.com, this will return 100 pages from your site (make sure instant search is off). 3) Go to the very bottom of the search page & click the 10 or whatever the last number is (9,8,7, etc...) 4) On the last search page scroll all the way to the bottom, & click the link (make a note of the search results number, example 700): Quote:
6) After your on the last page (2nd time), look at the top of the page & see what the search count returned. If that 2nd search number is higher, you have pages in the google supplemental search. Most times it will be very similar pages on your site.

I doubt this has anything to do with a page already crawled & falling off the SERPs.

WE had huge hit from 50000 pages to 8000 page now. Don't know why they removed from index, each page is different, no duplicates etc. |

You shouldn't be alarmed. Using search to check indexed pages will continue showing a small percentage of actual indexed pages. Log in to webmaster tools and you'll see the correct number of indexed pages. |

No, this will get fixed. Unless Google decides to stop their business and disappear, we should not worry. Google has enough number of talented people to take care of this.

1. Invest $1. Cut you backlinking by 50%+. Click here. Seduce Google. 2. Find tons of high-commission easy in less than a minute here. 3. War Room release on off-page SEO: Gege Robohop -"Incredible", say Warriors 4. Mindset matters. Look at my last year - nothing to do with IM.
