Default Do you think this would be penalized? Possible url stuffing.

I am being "forced" into a url structure like this:
keyword.com/keyword-products/keyword-keyword2-videos/product.php
I had originally built it like:
keyword.com/products/videos/products.php

I need some other opinions on this.

How are you "forced" into that?

Hi kernelpaniker,

Don't panic, keywords in your URL is a good thing.

To me, the url is fine. You may use this url structure as part of your SEO strategy.

Explain the forced part.. also the second one (shorter) looks way better and you don't need to repeat your main keyword in every directory

I am not a freelancer, hence the "forced" part. Someone who signs checks decided that it needs to be a certain way.

I personally think a keyworded directory structure looks spammy but from what I have researched, its not penalized.

from what I understand keywords in your link aren't a big deal. You just want to avoid randomly stuffing them on your web pages.

example you would not want a block on your site like

keywrod1 - keyword 2 - keyword 3 - etc - etc -etc

slip

Do you mean we would not want it to be a block just like your signature?
