Simplest Approach to Keywords & SEO?

OK, I know I need to build a database of keywords and optimize for them but I admit that I'm suffering from info overload paralysis. There are just too many tools and too much sometimes conflicting advice out there.

Here's what would really help me:

1. What's a simple step-by-step approach that you use to find the best keywords and phrases?

2. Then, when you get those keywords, what are the primary things you do with them?

Use market Sumarai, the newest tool is just phenominal. Find your niche and create your blog using lang tailed keywords you get from your research as a starting point.

I don't know what market Sumarai is doing, but don't forget to see how many competition there is for that keyword.Just google it and see the results.You can see first results too.If that are sites with PR 6-7 try another keywords.

I don't focus on generic keywords anymore... I'm more focused on unique keyword combinations and the result is always better... with lesser competition..
