Please I have been on internet since 2008 but I do not realy know the meaning of serps and Uniques of a domain or website. How does Serps and Uniques affect adsense traffic and how can one leverage on them. Please may members of this forum help me out. I will appreciate your help! |

| Search Engine Results Page. What you see after you hit 'enter' on a search engine. From Google themselves: Quote:
Adwords is the advertisement FOR your website on Google. You get nothing from Google for just displaying the ads (unless you get thousands of uniques a day, then you get a few pennies). You get money from adsense when someone clicks the advertisement on your page. If you rank better on the SERPs for a particular keyword, you'll have more uniques which means more views of your adsense, and hopefully more clicks of those ads meaning more money for you.

Thank you very much!.....Does that mean, if I have any domain that has very high serps and in number one on the list of that particular searched, i.e if i have "mydomain" on the top of that particular search. Does that mean it will give me some good visits/traffic to that particular domain? Please don't think I sound too elementary but this is problem facing by many people who does not know how to rank domain like me and I think coming here can improve us. |

Good Example: poker.com ranks #1 great for the highly searched term "poker" which gets millions of searches on a monthly basis. Bad Example: joescarwash.com also #1 for "joescarwash" but that specific term gets virtually no searches on a monthly basis. Now if you were joecarwash.com you would want to rank for terms related to car washing in your area for the best marketing effect which would bring in much more targeted traffic than the term in the domain name "joescarwash"

You can also check "PleatedBag" also in number one of google ranking without any traffic, What really is the rule to get traffic?

1. Start with keyword research. Find terms that get traffic related to your site. Start with the low hanging fruit and go for terms that have low competition and work your way up to moderate competition and eventually higher competition keywords. 2. Create content related to the terms that you have researched. 3. Get links to your content. I know these are all very general, but there is plenty of information on this forum and around the net on how to do each of these to the best of your ability. Traffic doesn't just magically appear. Like anything worth having in life it takes smart and hard work to attain your goals. Good Luck!

SERPs are what you want to build your rankings on for individual keywords targeted per URL and the SERPs give you unique visitors which can be seen in your analytics program. Google Analytics is best

OK! Thank you, I will try your advice and see what will happen to those domains. But another thing I usually hear people always says is work and work on the sites, please what are the work people are talking about, All I know is to write articles which is not easy, getting back links from twitter and other social sites. but I don't really understand the work people are talking about. Can any one give me the ideas on what they do on the site on daily basis for something like 2 hours daily. |
