Problem with meta description tag!!

Please check below image there is one problem with meta description when i search keyword Web Design Company in google for my site shrikrishnatechnologies dot com

it shows description i.e. my 1st paragraph of my site rather than meta description why it is happen please suggest any answer...

Hi Shri Krishna,

Your description tag is a little too long. I recommend that you shorten it by a couple dozen characters. Also, you are not using that exact keyword within your description tag and that is likely why Google choose a different text snippet.

Exactly why people cannot think that google is going to quote your meta description,
although many assume. Whenever I point this out, I usually get slammed or ridiculed.

You can't force google to do anything. If you can't or won't do the meta description
correct, according to google guidelines, I always suggest to just forget it. Not much
of a big deal anyway. I have never thought it gets you a bunch of click-thrus. Since
one can be in SERPs for multiple keywords/phrases, it better be general. Let your
titles and content do the talking.

Sorry Paul,

The OP does not have his "Meta Description" Tags setup correct on his site.

They have two "Meta Description" tags, the 2nd tag is empty.

I bet a nickel that Google is overwriting the first good tag with the 2nd bad/empty tag.

If a "Meta Description" tag is empty Google will pull text from the rest of the page.

Software (spiders) read left to right, top to bottom of the page, the last "Meta Description" tag told Google, "Hey, we don't have anything to give you, find something else to replace my Meta Description tag".

Here is the "Meta Description" tag from the OP site:

Simple fix!

OP, fix your "Meta Description" tags (remove empty tag) & post some new content on the Index page, to let Google know the page has changed.

BTW, (OP) why do you advertise SEO services when you can't get the basics correct on your own site? I hope you outsource the SEO for your clients.

but the main thing is that this problem Arieses only for this keyword not for other if i search with other keyword result shows accurate

so what is the main problem with this keyword??

The text in both screenshots are the exact same, for both keywords.

Remove the empty "Meta Description" tag.

Your running the "All in one SEO" plugin that is creating a "Meta Description" tag, & your WP theme has a blank tag by defualt.

If your going to run that SEO plugin, you'll have to edit your theme header.php file & remove the blank description tag.

what is WP-Twitter 2.5
because my 2nd description tag is in it so how can i remove it?

I'm not sure it's in your Twitter plugin or not?

Deactivate the Twitter plugin, then check the sorce code from the Index page, in your browser.

Do a page search for the word "description".

See If it still shows up, If it does then it's the plugin & you can work on that...

Make sure to check that source code from the index page in another browser.

Something like Google Chrome Incognito, or the WP cache will mess with you, after you do edits to the theme/plugins code...
