Hi everyone, I have a quick question. I have a site that only gets 50 - 100 visits a month (ouch) in the relationship repair niche. It gets found for about 40 different longtail really random keyword phrases every month though. So right now I have a huge list of totally random keyword phrases. Is it a good idea to use some of these as headings for blog posts and articles even though there has only been one search for that keyword in 6 months? Is it beneficial to do this in that it may trigger more random keyword phrases and my site getting found for them? Thanks Rach |

You answered your own question. You start by finding those really long tails randomly from your posts, then you target those keywords with new posts backlinking them with some easy sources. Then those posts get you new keywords, then you start going after harder keywords(and the relationship niche is hard!).

It depends on how many people are searching those random keyword phrases... And how well targeted those phrases are to your offers...

Most likely it is not worth it based on the traffic you mentioned. What would be worth it is find which keywords can bring in 50-100 visitors per day. (You might already be targeting these but just not ranking well.) Then determine which keywords have the weakest competition. Getting top rankings in Google is easy for niche site as long as you know how to chose the right keyword with low competition. I have no idea why everyone seems to have a strategy of "I have a site that makes $1 per month I just need to duplicate that a million times". Is this what the "gurus" teach? Once you can bring in small traffic from Google then work on bringing in bigger traffic by getting top rankings for low competition site and build up. You are building knowledge so use that knowledge to build your business up. Everyone seems to be learning more but they just are content doing the same thing for the same results. Use the knowledge you gain to make more money for the work you do. |
