Hi, I am looking into buying a few sites that are in Wordpress format. The content is setup via "posts." And the website's permalinks are setup using title names...so it's SEO optimized. The question is, if I copied that content that is setup via "post" format and then pasted it onto my "pages" instead, and consequently delete all the "posts", will it drop my Google rankings? I will be using the exact same permalinks I did for the posts. Does this make any sense?

How to change Wordpress "post" to a "page"? dburk pointed out a plugin that I tried out and it works perfectly. I haven't noticed a rankings drop yet. If you're afraid, just do it slowly starting with some weaker pages you don't care too much about. | |
