Hi Warriors, Should I "nofollow" an external link to an authority site such as Google? Ordinarily, i "nofollow" all external links i insert in my site. But i read that Google gives credit for external links to authority sites. And since if the link is "nofollow", search engine robots may not be able to follow through, i am thinking external links to authority sites should be "dofollow" What do you think? |

My preference is for dofollow to authority sites or pages (open in a new window of course.) with a related keyword phrase as anchor text. Googles "antitrust rank" is said to (because we can't know for sure) look at the quality of external links on a page i.e. higher quality sites link to higher quality sites. If you're linking to good information then it also makes it a better experience for your visitors.
