Do Google Sites display Adsense ads? Or am I wasting my time bothering? I have set up a Google Site and enabled Adsense but the ads aren't showing. Any tips would be appreciated plus any crumbs on whether Google Sites are a useful tool or useless. ![]() Edit: The Google Site is for marketing purposes not for use as a main website. |

Google site? Why going for google site when you can use your own domain name to setup your site or even with no budget at all, blogger, hubpages and squidoo are still a better option than google site unless its meant for other purposes except making money with a site.

I already have websites. I was looking at Google Sites as another outlet for Adsense placement. The ads aren't appearing on the Google Site template for some reason.

I hadn't heard of Google sites so I Googled it just to see if it was what I though it was. It looks like Google's version of Weebly to me. I didn't go digging any further, but it's likely that you have to place Adsense widgets on your pages to get the ads to display.

I couldn't tell you, honestly, having never used Google Sites myself. It's possible they don't allow it, but I'd be very surprised if that was the case. What's perhaps more likely is that you forgot to add your Google Sites URL to the "Allowed Sites" list in your AdSense account. |

I have set my Adsense account to allow all sites and I've added a privacy policy page just in case that was the hold up but still no ads. I just thought it might be a useful tool but not being able to add ads scuppers that idea.

Adsense are mainly for niche sites, and this is the only way I will ever use them..also if there not showing up, then you might not have something installed incorrectly..it can be many things..

Quote: Try this on your Google site. >Insert AdSense gadgets on your individual pages. Edit any page, and then choose Insert -> AdSense from the menu to place ads within your page content. I think you'll get a better CTR on Blogger. _________ Yeah, I did the Insert > Adsense thing and still nowt. I thought Google Sites might be useful but they seem a bit rubbish. |

The only thing I use Google sites for is storing files, then hotlink from my other sites. |

Doh! I have the answer - Google Sites are https, so if you opt to 'only view content that was delivered securely' when the pop-up appears on EVERY page, then the ads don't appear but they do if you click on 'no'. ![]() Yukon, linking was the idea behind me trying it out so I think I'll still do that. |

You might need to set your Google-Sites to "Public" I think the default is a private blog, & you have to login to view the blog. Double check that the blog is public.
