Lets say the keyword I want to target is "broach" I also obviously want to target the plural "broaches" How would you register a domain for this scenario? broachinfo.xxx or broachesinfo.xxx Any input would be greatly appreciated! Ben |

Google does recognize variations in keywords but I would go with broaches.info because it captures both versions of the word.

Other search engines will consider both keywords but according to th SEO experts I know, Google will only count one. Choose whichever has the most searches or least competition. You can still target the alternative in your content. Tina |

I would go with the plural & make it .com, .net, or .org Btw, Google will count the the plural both ways (example: brooch & brooches). Doesn't mean you'll rank for either one in the SERPs, that's up to you & how you go about your on/off page SEO. |

| Google does count plurals, I know this from the keywords section in the Webmaster Tools for my own site.

When you search for a singular term, then search for the same term only plural, it doesn't often come up with the same site in the top position for both. Tina

Personally I; definitely agree on the pluralization and making it a .com hyphenation may be an option, but I'd suggest selecting a nice second word, as hyphenation can make a site look less authoritative to consumers. broaches-everywhere.com broaches-abound.com broaches-fashion.com But really, while domain name helps, it can't be THAT huge a deal- right? |

Don't need to listen to anyone, just go to Google for your answer I had to go to page two to find an example, but Wikipedia is there with the page en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brooch. You'll notice Brooch is not in bold, but all instances of Brooches are.Now let's go to the singular search. google.com/search?hl=en&client=safari&rls=en&q=brooch&aq=f&aq i=&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai= You'll notice that all instance of the term "Brooches" on the page have "Brooch" bolded. That would tell me, pretty clearly, that using the pluralized version is the best way to go, and you will show as bolded for both plural and non-plural searches, and any benefit of having the keyword in the domain will be there in both instances.
