Some Seo tricks i found interesting, and works pretty well for me.

Alright so.
I have a website with Highly competitive keywords when i checked in google adword keyword tool the keyword shows on around 80% on the little green scale thing they have. i managed to get 4-5 place. following several techniques.

General Information.
Website is built on WP Thesis them - so On-page SEO is Spotless
The website is on gaming niche and game currency (gold forming for MMOs)
that means i am competing against chines, Filipinos and generally people from Asia - usually hard to compete against them.
Domain is 6-7 months old.

What did i Do ?
Since this niche is such a competitive niche and it really was and still hard to get the top results i made my self a clear link building strategy i followed the entire 6 months.

For starters - i built 23 landing pages 3 was .edu pages and 20 was .com/.org/.net pages - these pages had 2 unique articles on each of them

and of course my main website .

On my main website i started by social bookmarking / several 2.0 web pages/ some blog comments - no articles yet.

about 1 month or so i went on with the above. also i applied the above to the other 23 landing pages but not with the exact same order.

the following months i continue building links while every day i added more to the total i added for both my website and the 23 pages while my website was always a head of the other 23 pages with the amount of links it had.

4 month into my seo i bought/built so many links from networks (like the one i am promoting now at my Sig, and other networks) that i had to find a easy indexing method for all these links.

so i got some indexing tools.
while the best one of them In my opinion Is google Email.
Since google Crawl through emails (and thats how google knows what kind of adword ad to place in your emails) google also crawl links and doing so they get indexed too.

so what i did i used my yahoo email and sent all the links to my google mail in addition to the other indexing tools.
at that point my main website was on the 19-25 google result and was stuck for another whole month , my other 23 websites was anywhere from result 33 to result 50 for the same keyword.

at the 5th month after i see that i dont move in the results. i then bought a a nice package of around 1200 links which isnt that much. and links all the 23 website to my main website. and continued with blog comments and forum posting for that month.

suddenly without any worming i jumped from the 19-25 google to be 1fist place for around 2 weeks and now i am stable on the 5th-4th position and climbing.

My advice do your SEO patiently, use google to index links - google email - google reader and so on. google absolutely love its self.
and dont go crazy if no movement in serp- go slow and gradually increase your links.

Hope my story would be interesting for some.

Nice strategy there but not many people have the patience of waiting and building constant backlink for 6 months.

The bot that spiders for the SERPS isn't the same one for Adsense, you can test this by adding no links to your site, installing ad sense code and seeing if your site is indexed.

But yes SEO mostly comes down to link building and keyword research to know what to build for.

What he is saying is that Google is NOT crawling the URLs in your emails and then indexing them....on that point I agree with him.

Think about it, that would be a HUGE invasion of privacy if you were emailing about a secret site you hadn't launched yet and it ended up in Google's index!

This can't be true,google indexing emails.But emails address is usually passworded or how can google crawl and index a password enable site.Google reader might works.

Alright - first google does Crawl Emails. Try ask someone to write you a email about horses open this email and you'll see adword ads about horse or farms.

ask to get an email about houses and building houses and renovations. you'll get ads about the same niche.

Google does crawl through Gmails .

Google about google invading privacy . you can see one of matt's videos where he stats clearly that google Crawl through everything he can even - no index !

I wrote how in the upper part of the post. but google reader you can submit feeds. and Gmails send emails to it with links.

Great post, excuse my ignorance but what do you mean you built .edu landing pages? you mean you built a page and only linked to it form .edu pages?

Lemints its a simple test mate. Get a new domain or subdomain - dont link to it at all from nowhere . get yahoo-hotmail-AOL, any other Email other then Gmail. send the address go to the gmail account open that email. wait a little bit and check if the site is indexed .

If you dont link to a new domain from no place. it should take that domain forever to get indexed. with the email trick and / or google reader it wont take that long.
