Default Shocking Google alert on Adsense sites !

I got the shock of my life today when I tried the new Google adsense interface and found that only six of my adsense ads ( Domains) that I had created overtime were active and you can see the actual domain.

Now I created quite a few blogs and sites that I have adsense on that are not showing up, so I presume there are not active. I am worried because the majority of these were bought from Gurus who said to only replace the pub-00000000000 id.

The sites that are active are the ones I went to Google and actually created the ads myself and copy & paste the code onto my website, blog etc....

Is Google penalizing for not creating your own adsense code or is there more to it. I was wondering why my stats (not Google Analytics) were showing adsense clicks but I was seeing nothing in my adsense accounts.

Should we just change the pub-00000000000 id only or go get a new code ourselves?

Also I bought a minisite package where you change the pub-0000000000 id via a CMS system they have, the sites are indexed, got some clicks but not marked as active.

Whats going on....

Anyone has any thoughts on this.....

This belongs in the Adsense forum, not here, fyi. To answer your question, you'll get credit for clicks as long as your publisher ID is in the code correctly. But you won't see stats for each individual site if you don't create a channel for each one. You'll just see the aggregate total for your account.

I personally would have ripped out the entire adsence code and replaced it with my own code straight away regardless of what the gurus said, if for no other reason than my own piece of mind.

Go get your own code

I always use my own code rather than just changing the id. When I install blogs that I sell for others I also get them to give me their code. I want to be able to track each site with it's own channel.

@Zeus66,
1. I think that its general info that fellow Warriors would be interest in and thats why its posted here. Admin can move it if they see fit.

2. the active sites showing have no channels, some sites with channels are not showing...

3. Have you checked the new interface? I only saw it today...I check my account every day.

@ Joe.MC

With some site packet...like the one I mention, you have to enter your pub-000000 id in a text field and it populates the site. Unless you know php etc, you cant put your entire code in....its a Content management system (CMS0 type of thing...

I would get rid of the adsense ads and insert CPA ads, split testing until you find offers that convert.
